Wow Delay
Trade in the echo for a little reverb. Back off the mic a bit. Good story telling voice. Too distorted though Such a great song Seager is a great singer song writer Keep at ‘er bud The back up vocals are bang on.

Congratulations
355/5000 Hello how are you? I really want to congratulate you because it's a musical style that I like a lot. The song is really great. What I find strange is, why the tandistorsioned voice and out of the plane of the band ?. the band on one side and the voice on the other. But it would be wonderful. Obviously it is a constructive criticism. Greetings from Argentina. Ricky

LIKE A ROCK
This is An Atypical Style for the Country Genre, however, this band makes an excellent impression with this song all about life choices and how these shape your character. A bit more Country Rock than Country but with solid instrumental. A song that lifts you up rather than brings you down. I enjoyed the candor of the lyrics a sweet reminder of how to spend old age with our memories intact. The lead vocalist who sounds a bit like Willie Nelson. Great backup vocals too! I'd like hear it on mp4 or a .wav flac file for higher quality recording.

This is a great song
Enjoyed this song and the whole vibe. As a music maker myself I really appreciate the work that went into making this. It takes rather good musicians to not overplay, I think the work on this is tasteful and sweet. The lyrics are meaningful and sound like they come from some deep life experience. In fact, I believe this song has the potential to be a classic - even a sort of country-rock "My Way". A message to the artist - hope you don't mind me saying this - wearing my producer's hat - I'd change the lead vocal to bring it way lower in the mix and get rid of the plate reverb or delay. This song works as a spoken growly vocal - but for a great track like this a "less is more" approach feels like it works - so I'd go for an extra laid-back really relaxed vocal - the lyrics do the talking and you'll still bring loads of emotion into it when you do bring it up in places, it will be more powerful. Good luck with this and I hope Like A Rock gets the success it deserves.

mellow and nice
Nice backing vocals , nice story line, a good version of the original not always to make something as good as the original but you made an interesting version of the original I enjoyed it.

Rocks sink
This has to be a karioki taped performance. Awful reverb, poor tempo, overdriven microphones, and poorly mixed guitar. Bob Segar did an unbeleavable job on this song. The grit in his voice may make it sound like its easy to sing but its not. This song takes a seasoned professional to sing, and this singer is completely out of their league trying to capture even a fraction of Segars performance. Honesty I strongly recommend singing lessons. The vocals do not have an unpleasant tone, however the breathing and phrasing is out of sync. In addition to pitchiness some of the notes are wrong. 1 year of voice trading would do wonders for this singer

Country side music for the people
To begin with this artist, there is a good and fine recording except for the level of the vocalist microphone. the music is defenetly fine. the bass is solid, don't groove much but it does its job so what do you grumbling about. the main guitar riff is a little thin but it let the vocal enough place to shine. I always like the harmony with the choral event when the lead vocal is down that make the music so much great. So that's the explanation for my note on this peace of music. it's a fine middle level country side slow music , decently nt the best in the world but juste enough to keep you worm on a chilly sunday.

Great Genre Transition
I have always heard it said that a hit song is a hit song in any format. This Bob Seger song is no exception and it really shows that the song works well in a country format and explores the possibilities of "Like A Rock" as it so smoothly works in this format. You just can tell Seger had roots in his writing and the common root was identified and carefully worked into this song making a smooth transition into country. The background vocal parts were very sweet. I would have used them more! Well done way to put forth this song. My only thoughts would be to take a bit of the delay/verb off the vocal and EQ out some of the lower problem frequencies (probably pull 200-400hz pull down a few decibals- and slope out 100hz down to 0db at 40 (a farther lower down frequency roll-off) that will make it blend in with the song more and let your voice shine more giving it clarity. Just a helpful hint there. Really enjoyed what you did with the song! Seger was "like a rock". Hard to believe that was his 13th studio album. Thanks for the tune!

Oh Guitar!!!
The guitar is crying, softly, tenderly...I do love your single. Your voice seems to lead the guitar into darkness, brightness. That's the sound of United States. Really good and so close to me, even if you're so far! Keep on rocking....Cheers!!
