Born in Jackson Mississippi, I started playing guitar when I was 8 y/o in 1958 on an old Gibson my Dad bought for $6. I am supported by my beautiful wife Bernadette and children Lyrica, Honey, Gabriel, and Earl, and my sister Deborah.

In 1976, I did my first album with James Stroud, recipient of many Nashville Country Music Awards including Country Music Producer of the Year. In 2012, I completed anew CD in Nashville with Dino Zimmerman (RIP) as my Producer, before his untimely passing. We were raised with the same Southern influences and he is the perfect match for my original songs and is my favorite guitarist. You can hear his style so well on It Brings You Near, Country Nights, Free Flight. This was an exciting project and I am proud to have had the opportunity to work with him.
