Gerry Dupe BIO:
Gerry Dupe, Born Gerry Duperroy was born on December 10th,1989 in Fort Lauderdale Florida. His passion for music began when he was 9 years old; performing Kirk Franklin's verse in "Stomp" in Church where his step-father Pastor'd. Due to his mother passing at age 11 Gerry was forced into foster home with his older brother and little sister.

Growing up he began to write poetry in the hallway in foster home due to being abused and to cope his mothers passing at age 11, and still coping his real Fathers death at age 4. "It felt like we was truly alone and betrayed because my step father only took his son who was my little brother." When asked,how did it feel knowing you lost both parents.

At age 13 Gerry then moved with his Aunt and Uncle in Brooklyn New York. Growing up there he began to get deeper into rap. Buying mixtapes, beats and freestyling in class or in the lunchroom. By High School he was making beats with fruity loops and recording songs on a $10 mic.

After graduating High School Gerry Duperroy moved to Philadelphia with his cousins who begged him to leave the hood in Bedstuy-Brooklyn and pursue music in Philadelphia. "Nothing they said actually convinced me until they got my older brother to go there also, he ran away from foster home and I hadn't seen or heard from him in about 4-5 years at that time."

While in Philly Gerry connected with Tweek Productions, where producer Bern taught him the ins and outs on format songwriting and encouraged him to do shows. Berns brother Dan also taught him live recording, ins and outs on beat making until He became a pro. "I began to record myself and make my own High Quality beats."

Finishing his Mixtape called "Walk With Me" ((expired link)) while going by the name Bruklin, Gerry Dupe's life began to make a change. He was homeless around the time due to his cousins kicking he and his older brother out. "My brother went back to Florida, I stayed. My producer let me kick it in the studio while I was trying to get back on my feet."

In 2011 Gerry was at a point of suicide and while bargaining to kill himself he said he heard a voice from within himself that kept saying, "Give GOD one more chance, Just give GOD one more chance!"

"At that point I just began to angrily tell Jesus that I know He's real and that I knew he died for my sins but I never in my life felt loved. And then it was like I was in a (expired link). bubble and GOD was showing me all my sins, And tears burned down my face as I carelessly confessed them. From the small ones to the biggest ones. Everything I felt i had to do in the streets to survive was there at the same time acknowledging I only did them because I gave up on GOD. When I finally said amen it was like universes came off my shoulders."

At that point Gerry then said He saw Jesus and that Jesus told him that he was called and chosen to be a Pastor and Evangelist."It was amazing! His love was so much that I became weak as I realized I don't deserve it. I wanted to share it!" When asked how was the experienced.

Aged 21, after that experience Gerry dropped music and pursued his His new identity in Christ. A year and a half later he married his girlfriend Felicia who is on "Protected" and "Most High" Songs. A year after that he began doing Church services in his living room and letting the homeless sleep in his basement while helping them get back on their feet. "From young homesexaul dudes to old divorced men, GOD's love never failed them through me." Exclaimed Gerry who is now also the Founder & Pastor of Rulers By The Sword Ministries.

4 years later, GOD then spoke to Gerry saying that it is okay for him to continue pursuing his musical dream. "But I knew as He said it, I couldn't go back to the old way, I had to be positive and speak real." Gerry's First track after salvation was called "Im Here" And from then on He has been making more songs and will Debut His Christian Album called. "Follow Me"

"I feel like it was all setup because the last song on the Walk With Me Mixtape was called "Wheres Life Gonna take Me", I asked everyone to Walk With Me in my old unsaved life, to see if they can take the pains I had to deal with and where would they end up. Then after...It's GOD making me a leader, and example of who He is and what He did for us who were lost in the "Walk With Me" way as if to say, 'I made it, so Follow Me as I follow Christ, I found the way!'
