About Glitch

Glitch (John Macbeth) is a 27 year old Producer and DJ from the Leeds (UK) Area.

Glitch produces a wide range of styles; from Breakbeat to Melodic Hip-Hop to Electro House to Drum ‘n’ Bass. Odylic Force is a Producer, Promoter and DJ from the Lancaster (UK) Area. He has been producing his own take on electronic music since buying a PC aged 17, originally using Fastraker II, which ran in DOS!

Since then, he has studied Music Technology in Stafford (earning a BSc [Hons] for his troubles) before setting in Leeds for a number of years, where he DJ’ed at many events in Leeds including an Ed Rush and Optical Album Launch Party, regularly at Filter (a LCMSU night), Surroundz and at free parties.

Glitch has always been interested in pushing the boundaries of mixing. From creating loop-based sets performed using Ableton, to now utilising Serato
Scratch to mix up his own blend of Breaks, Electro and House with his own compositions thrown in. Now living in Lancaster, he puts on a regular night, called Smithereens and is still involved in setting up free parties.

Using fattened up funk breaks, tweaked basslines (from his A-Station) and then chopping the whole lot up into tiny pieces before laying them out, his produtions are continually improving.
