Hey Gordon, Your music has a gentle quality employing beautiful strings and percussion leading the listener into a sense of heightened awareness listening for how the meaning of words "Black Lies" in the title will disclose the story. Your songs are a revelation to hear and bring to the surface many trials of love lost, found, deceived or betrayed which all your listeners can relate to in some way. I can't tell if you layered your vocal or added other vocal talents but the effect is lovely and haunting. Stunning in it's complexity and simplicity so I give it Five Stars for creativity.

Well done for the record. Bass balance is on point. Vocal sound is good. There are very small explosions in the vocal recording, but it is a very beautiful song. Background vocals accompany the main vocal at a very good moment. Atmospheric air and feeling are given nicely. Solo guitar has been decided.

The beginning of this song has a soothing strumming guitar. The vocalist has a very soft style. Laid back and mellow. As I'm listening I'm liking it more and more. A little at a time. I like the sound it's original! I can feel the heart in this showing you put in some dedicated work. I like the melody and the flow of the beat and smooth strings makes the sound even better and natural, very straight forward and with that smooth and lyrics! I can dig it!!! Sounds like the studio vibe was feeling the vibe I could sit back to this one and zone out!!!!! More artist should study the roots of their culture of art more to be better at their own art. I like how its got a Country sound, as well as a Easy Listening tune. Good job Vocals sound great nice mix. The Harmonies work well I also like singing my own Harmonies . Nice guitar licks coming out to the end. Sweet.

Gordon Thomson release of "Blue Skies Black Lies" has such a lot going for it. Lyrically it impressively communicates the story and the guitar work is very pleasant. Relaxing song to listen to with the lights down low or during an easy drive through the countryside to nowhere. Even as background music during dinner with friends this will be heard without disturbing the conversation. Maybe it could become the conversation.

As I listened to this one song I couldn't help but feel I was being transported back in time to the seventies, some call them flashbacks but to me it's still fresh in my mind. Just to make sure I wasn't mistaken I had a listen to four more of his songs and I wasn't let down. With smooth tones in Gordon's voice along with that Taylor humming out easy groovin' riffs, I found myself drifting back in time. I can appreciate the writings and the recording is crisp, keep up the good work.
