The four-piece Infidels have carved themselves a place with their "Road-House Music, Texas Style." Definitely, their own unique sound. Plenty of attitude and bravado. Grant Wiscour didn’t start his musical career at an early age, but he was always a big fan Country Music and Texas Country Music. However, since forming the Infidels in 2004, he has made up for lost time. The Infidels are quick to point out that the name "Infidel" is not a moniker for "God Hater" or any other agnostic doctrine or belief. The guys say they just got tired of folks overseas calling Americans "Infidels" and the name stuck. Just because you raise hell on stage doesn't mean you don't say your prayers at night. At the KHYI 95.3 Shiner Rising Star Competition in 2005, Austin Cunningham had one thing to say about the Infidels..."HARDCORE". And when you are talking about Grant Wiscour and the Infidels, “hardcore” says it all. Always straight forward and to the point, the Infidels represent the hard-driving outlaw country trend from the 1970s that focused on Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, David Allan Coe, and Willie Nelson.
