Annual Update,
How's everyone doing? Did you have a good year? What were the highlights? Regrets? What do you plan to do better this year?
Music.... I play. Mostly to my family lately. I'm currently making an album which I'll entitle "While You Were Sleeping." It's a compilation of songs that I write during my many bouts with insomnia - while my wife sleeps. I think it's cool so far, but still needs a lot of work. In other news.. I've been spending a lot of time at the local skate park with my daughter, Nova. Plenty of scrapes and bruises - all in all, its been a good year.
I hope that you're all well and want to thank you for listening to our music - you've got good taste! Now... SIT UP STRAIGHT AND PAY ATTENTION!! ;)

Hey there! So.. I've been writing about how I intend to place all of my albums on here for sale. It's been a slow process putting it all together, but I am finally just about finished. I intend to upgrade my account and put them up next month - June. Each album has different music from different points of my career / life. Some of the albums are bands that I played in, and some are solo work - but all songs were written, recorded, and performed by yours truly, geek-hole extraordinaire - me. I'm not out to get rich or famous - I'll put them for sale at a reasonable price - I think 12 dollars a CD. That should cover my costs, shipping, and give me enough to buy a cup of coffee for my suffrage. I've really enjoyed / appreciated all of the kind emails and encouragement about my music. It's nice to hear that people are enjoying it. - I enjoy creating it and stomping around the stage or the studio. Music is a tough business to break into - especially when one only half tries in lazy ways... However, if the CD's sell at all, that will motivate me to produce more, and put new stuff out. - I'm shopping for a producer by the way. I've always mixed and mastered my own - and that takes a lot of time that I don't have. So - if any of you know anyone that would like to master or produce some of my music, write me here and we can talk about it. I would be interested to see what someone else does with my playing. As always- my fingers dance for your pleasure :) Now.. go out there and be someone!

I cant believe that I have 131 subscribers! ...What is wrong with you people!? :] -Truly, I am humbled.
So I've been busy. Doing grown up stuff and trying to pee straight. I wont bore you with the formal details, but suffice to say that I'm a happy guy. Life is pretty ok - I got the sunny side of the stick.
Musically I'm on a sort of hiatus.. But! I am releasing my first single in over 2 years! Yay. This mother has been about 18 months in the making. Although I can't say it turned out exactly as planned - it isn't bad. I hope you like it - "Need to know" is now available for your ears. Also! As a celebratory reach around! I am including the a fresh track "A New Dawn" for your listening pleasure!
In conclusion, I want to thank all of you for listening! Its fun being able to connect with listeners like this. I do have albums to post here eventually - 7 of them to be exact. I'll try and get to that this year ;] Write me here anytime - I usually respond within a month. Finally... Sit up straight and pay attention!!

A little about me?
I'm Erik, originally from Mesa, AZ, but performed and recorded with the Angry Avocados in Seattle, WA. I currently live in Hawaii and am finishing up my PhD.
If any of you have any questions or comments - please don't hesitate to reach out! I'll try to always respond - and I enjoy the conversation. It may take me a few days (or weeks), but that doesn't mean that I'm blowing you off. I have a family and am deep in my work. It's tough keeping everything afloat sometimes - but I'll do my best to be quick.
As far as my music - I'm working on a new album. I have a lot of the material written and have been tinkering in my studio for the past few months. I should start to polish things and get some new songs out by 2018. I think the new stuff will be my best work yet! ..But I always think that.. The glass is half full.. right?
