Song Reviews

Grooves to Chaos

Very cool track, it opens up with a funky bass line followed by a distorted guitar. Aggressive vocals lay down the foundation of the rest of track. Definitely something everyone should check out!

Big Potential

I see with me ears and feel the big potential... I love the intro which then skips into the more powerful part and later returns before the end. The powerful voice guides through the song with lots of anger to shout out the truth. This carries the whole song and drives along with the powerful rhythm of the drums. The heavy guitars mixed with more jazzy parts gives more a diversity to the song. The bass sound is so vintage it could fall out of a different time or maybe more likely another dimension. This mixture is unique!

Confusing

Hi there, Groove To Chaos. I have just taken a good listen to this track of yours, and find it to be confusing, a bit disturbing, very chaotic and really hard to review. First of all. I just love the effect and the room that you have chosen to place the voice in. It shines really good through in the mix. The guitars are nice with just the right amount of distortion, and the balance between the different instruments are quite good. The beginning of the track is another story. To be totally frank with you I think it sounds kind of childish, and does not fit in with the rest of the track. Maybe it`s just me....... Cheers

Ritalin is a crutch but not for these guys

It's clear that a lot of time and effort went into this project. Many of the parts sound difficult to perform and yet these guys pull them off and blend them together seamlessly, and that is the start of the problem for me. The song seams to go in too many different directions as each part is introduced. I've also heard it before with bands like Lincoln park. It is a well recorded and well mixed song with great performances by the artists. It just feels like it is trying to be to much

interesting mix - psychadelic

Kinda cool mix of hip-hop, psychadelic, angry punk about weed... Not my thing, but hey, at least they take a stand, so - fuck it, go for it! Mix-wise, muffled bass and guitar could be a bit louder for my tastes but still kinda catchy.

Raised onRitalin (legalize Weed)

This is a really cool song, the beat will get you moving, you can dance to or just sit back and groove. I like the way the vocals (sounds like 2 people - but that could be one person). Excellent as well as musicianship, as a bass player myself I like the strong, heavy bass line. The guitar rips and riffs are performed really well. The recording is well produced, but not over-produced, it grooves and rocks. Hey, this is hip, a drug message that hits it right on the head. I really like this and would love to see them live!

I thought it have more energy.

Relating to the sing title I thought this would be faster, more addreline. I took Ritalin to calm me down, it seems more preachy about how we should just prescribe weed to kids with hdha over all it was ok. Not my favorite song. I rather take Ritalin than get stoned.

IM IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG

Ya know those days that come sometimes? When being polite or you know doing and everything PC just you want to throw out the window and say screw you to everything around you and tell people how you really feel this song is perfect for that and for speaking honest and the Toughlove kind of truth because you might be venting but also happens to be true so it needs to be hurt And I'm in love with it and I listen to it probably like eight times now and I'm gonna listen to eight or nine more so I suggest anyone who has an open mind and knows they have those days as we know we all do so don't lie to yourself take a min and listen to the song and you won't regret it peace out

Raised on Ritalin

I like this - from the mellow to the hardcore and back again - good message, good lyrics, good playing - yes, I like it, It;s a journey in three minute and forty seconds - from the calm of weed to the banging psychosis of chemicals and beyond - I definitely prefer the weed, but the track works on both levels, so very well done Grooves to Chaos. Your Song "Raised On Ritalin (Legalize Weed)"

I like the intro with the bass and tube mic and wasn't to sure how the direction the song was gonna go but I'm digging it. Sort of gave me a Frank Zappa feel at first then the electric guitar kick in and what a powerful set of pipes on the vocals with almost a rage against the machine style approach. All and all I thing this is very much original and think you have something going on here and I think the Ritalin overruled on the weed. Keep on Smokin. Write On~~~

review of 'Raised on Ritalin (Legalize weed)'

A funky intro leads to a nice bass riff. Heavy use of effects lead into a Rage Against The Machine type rap lyrics over rock guitar riffs. Pretty good so far. Thankfully there's a breakdown back to the bass riff again just over halfway, this is good as the guitars can get too repetitive after a while. Pretty good sound, good recording, good sounds and effects used...the voice is just right for this genre of music, hard rock/rap. A really good track, would like to hear more.

Groove to Chaos - Raised on Ritalin

Groove to Chaos's Raised on Ritalin (Legalize Weed) is a fully fledged sonic attack on the insanity of feeding humans legal dangerous compounds (known as medicine) ably supported by mega pharmaceutical companies and the ongoing illegality of cannabis use. There is a nice interplay of distorted vocalization and laid back guitar work in the intro before the thrash power chords hit full stride. The singer attacks the tune with a clear diction and the clever use of delay, parts of the guitar lines remind me of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The track is well produced, structured and not over long. Great effort and an anthem for our times - "What gives you the right to tell me what's right or wrong?"
