Biographical information on Dewayne Timoll
Dewayne Timoll was a hype selector for the Ferrari sound machine. He was a very successful and well demanded selector in Clarendon. His mix tapes were well demanded on the underground. The street showed him much love. Sometime during this period he decided to experiment with Fruity Loops “a beat making software”. At first he just played around with the computer using the acid software along with Sound forge doing his mix tapes. His wealth of knowledge from this experience was very rewarding. Consequently with the advent of Fruity Loop he was well prepared. He can recall while he and his friend John Blacks were experimenting with Acid creating rhythms. One of their friends Iron Ballz from Sound Wave explained that fruity loops was a much easier software to use for creating beats. At first he was not really serious so his copy of Fruity Loops just collected dust. The ensuing chain of events led him to a new plateau in his life. His associate, John Blacks, had migrated abroad, as a result his sound juggling was brought to an end. For a while, he just played around, but then remembers his fruity Loops and consequently his new career Beat composer. The first beat he composed was a beat he made called XXXL Shaka Pow the DJ Doc was his neighbor at the time he listened and he loved the beat. This motivated him to continue making more beats. He then started linking up with Assilass one of his old friend. During this time he composed Dutty and Raw which he and Assilass wrote together. Jonathan aka Mr. Curtis Miles who is also a longtime friend from the sound system days, would stop by and they would make beats kicked back and shoot the breeze. It was Jonathan who introduce Dewayne to Ervin Crooks aka Dannii Ju Boi who is a self-taught bass player. Dannii who had been living in Florida for some time had attended FOMAS University then Nova Southeastern University as a computer Information System Major. He also was a disc Jockey juggling Ju Boi Promotion sound in and around central Florida. His love for music goes way back also. It was during this time that he started experiment around with the bass guitar, eventually teaching himself how to play the bass properly. He then started a band call Ruff Ryder and then a band called Exodus. During this period he gathered a wealth of knowledge about rhythm and pattern. This alliance between these friends has matured into a strong unit Half-A-Puff Records. Together they have composed many beats and have written many songs and DJ lyrics currently unreleased to the general public. In 2010 Dewayne worked at Move Up Recording Studio, through one of his friends, he went on to become the chief engineer and stayed in this capacity until summer 2013. During this time he composed the Mid Air Rhythm and the Fresh Out Rhythm and quite a few others. As the chief engineer he gathered a vast amount of experience which catapulted him into a new level. As fate would have it, early summer 2013 he met an upcoming artist Apallo-j which led to a new rhythm called the Nanny rhythm. The Nanny Rhythm is a very good production which makes Dewayne proud and anticipates great thing in the near future.
