French Symphonic Power Metallers HAMKA sign with Fighter Records!!

French Symphonic Power Metallers HAMKA, featuring spanish vocalist Elisa C. Martín (ex-DARKMOOR), have inked a deal with Fighter Records for the official release of their long awaited 2nd album "Multiversal" due to come out on 14th of December.
Formed back in 2003 by guitarist Willdric Lievin and Elisa C. Martín, HAMKA released a demo called "Exodus" in '04 and their debut album "Unearth" came out a year later, but during the following years, the band was put on hold due to personal circumstances until in 2013 it was resurrected with the addition of three new members and preparation of a 2nd album entitled "Multiversal", which was finished in summer 2017.
Now it's Fighter Records who will properly release "Multiversal", a magnific 14-song opus of top quality Symphonic Power Metal with Ethnic influences, giving it a worldwide promotion and distribution.

2003, Elisa (expired link) and Willdric Lievin left the band Fairyland due to different musical orientation. For many years, Willdric was dreaming about making a concept album based on ethnical legends and mythology. It was the right time to make it, even if the project was ambitious. He immediately met Yann Mouhad, one of the best french guitar players, and they started composing for Hamka's first EP in 2005 : "Exodus".
Ideas were flowing, and the band decided to follow on the same path by composing an entire album, which ultimately became "Unearth", a perfect mix of melodic metal, epic and ethnical instruments.
In 2006, the album was completed and the band signed with King records in Japan. Even through limited promotion it was a huge critical success.
A few years have passed, filled with different projects, jobs and family matters, but 2013 sees the rebirth of HAMKA with the arrival of two new members : Sylvain Cohen on guitar and JB Pol on drums. Their second album « Multiversal » is born in august 2017, and in the same time, they have started their first tour !
Now the band is back, stronger than never !!!
