Hi
To all of those who have sent me messages I will try to reply to you all and they are all very special to receive.
Thank you so much for your encouragement and so glad you are enjoying my music. It has been a long time inbetween posts, I know. I have not put up any more songs for a while. I promise to remedy that.
Like most of us life can throw us some 'curve balls'. I have struggled with one or two of them in the last two years.
The Drummer of My band in Christchurch New Zealand "Louie and the Hotsticks" my dear friend, Wayne Beecroft, passed away with a very sudden sickness. It threw me completely. Then later it was over a period of 4 months 3 members of our family also passed away.
Some of you will have dealt with the same kind of situations, especially with covid barking at our heals.
'No one gets out of here alive' as the famous Jim Morrison of "The Doors" said.
I am climbing out of the tunnel now and seeing the glorious sunshine and noticing he flowers once again and letting the rain fall on my face.
Anyhow...
These are the lyrics of a recent song I have written and it is apropriate for this day and age that we all find ourselves living in.
It is not meant to be a sad song. but one of hope that as the seasons change
so the harder lessons thrown at us, become easier and time passes and we appreciate the simple and important things like breathing in then breathing out.
THE NEW NORMAL
V1
If I could tell you this was the last time
If I could tell you would I be Lying
If I could tell you would it be what you want to hear.
would it make
would it take
more than I could ever give
seems like I shaking from the inside out.
Bridge
Knowing there's a future where the past used to be
knowing in an instant a new Normal will be.
Chorus
Somewhere somehow
we can all begin again
laughing like we used to do
Somewhere somehow
we can all begin again
laughing like we used to do
V2
As for me I'd like to be flying
in a world where no one is dying
in a day dream that may or might come true.
In an instant things can change
reality rearranged
Life is short there's so much for me and you
Bridge
Knowing there's a future where the past used to be
Knowing in an instant a new normal will be and
Chorus x 2
Somewhere somehow
we can all begin again
laughing like we used to do.
Somewhere somehow
we can all begin again.
Laughing like we used to do
Somewhere somehow
we can all begin again
laughing like we used to do.
Somewhere somehow
we can all begin again.
Laughing like we used to do
Laughing like we used to do
Laughing like we used to do
Love and Joy and all the very best to everyone of you and Peace.

Hi there.
Thank you so much for your interest in my music.
It has taken me a bit to work out how N1M works and so now I am able to offer my songs to be bought on line if you so desire. I will be adding more of my originals for you and hope you enjoy these also. Your feedback is important to me and so I would love to continue to here from you. Even though I live in Sydney Australia, I go to New Zealand for reunion gigs with this band of wonderful Musicians called "Louie and the Hotsticks". It is always great to work along with my dear friends.
Al Park and myself are the front personalities on stage. Some people in New Zealand know me as Helen Mulholland. Everyone sings at some stage of the our show and we seem to have accumulated a consistent audience over the years.
We hear Awesome sax from Danny Wilson, on lead guitar fabulous Jimmy Walmsley, consistently energetic and full of great attitude is Wayne Jamison on bass and last but not least the creative unique feel on drums from Wayne Beecroft This photo was the next day after 2 nights at the Ferrymead Tavern in Christchurch, in September last year, in the South Island of New Zealand. I have included a song written by Al Park (unfortunately not for sale) called "Living on my heart" off our Album called "Stickability". Talk to you soon. H
