I'm digging it
This is a great song and performance. The melody is strong and tuneful. The singer has an attractive vocal tone, and puts real feeling into the lyrics. The lyrics are interesting and meaningful with some punchy phrases. Instrumentally, the song has a rich, full accompaniment that complements the vocal track perfectly. Great guitar, although I think a grittier tone would suit the dark mood of the song better. The performance quality is good throughout, both vocally and instrumentally. Overall, the song is distinctive and original, and I think it has strong commercial potential. I would like to hear a recorded version

Live Feeling
Sound quality is quite ok, because you wrote that this is a live recording. Obviously recorded with simple techniques. On the other hand it gives a live feeling, a feeling of bootleg recording. The vocals are pressed out. A little weakness in the higher notes. Finally, it's no masterpiece, but it's ok. Songwriting is ok too. Simple chord progression and easy sing along melody as it should be in popular country music.

Nice Tune
The audio quality could be much better, but I hear great potential in your lyrics, style and approach. You obviously have some great fans behind you. Keep up the great work. Maybe we'll hear you on the radio someday. Well done. Mike Indiana Breeze

Get to the studio
I would love to hear it with sound engineering! Keep this song in your bag! Definitely has a lot of heat and soul! Love the back story with it, really brings the song to a personal level. Get this produced!!!!

Very personal and specific!
I really like the raw touch of this live recording, not sure if the song would work without the audience, recorded in a studio. Lyrically very thought-full, guitar nothing special, but good! I think that the vocals are a bit of tune here and there, but it's live, so nothing to bother you. This song is a nice singer-songwriter tune, about getting old, with the right people around, it can be a little hit! :-)

Very nice
This is a good indie song. I like the background music, and the guitar. Vocals are good and the overall vibe of the song is very indie rock. As an indie musician myself, I always like to hear new music from other indie and experimental artists. The lyrics are solid as well.

A Fine Piece of Music
This is a good song. It is melodic, which is what good music is all about. Competent guitar playing. I can't help wondering what this song would sound like with a full band backing it. It would probably sound even better. Keep up the good work.

Holding
Pretty good song. Keep going, you have promising goals. Sounds like you played it live just to bring it here. The concept us clear and nice vocals. There's always room for more improvement. Overall great song.

A Bob Dylan-like Ballad
This song has a Bob Dylan type of sound, in that it's played acoustic, the quality is live, and the vocals are as flat as the great plains in many parts of the song. Lyrically, it's a nice ode to what must have been a long friendship. Artistically and musically, my personal opinion is it's nothing special. Just a few simple chords thrown together, a fresh bowl packed and smoked, and a trip down memory lane that means little to those outside the limited close circle of friends applauding at the end. For that purpose, this tune is a success!

52 and life
Hi I enjoyed this song 52 sounds like real life and a great story. That's two great ingrediants for a great song .I think the hook needs to be a little more production .and song as awhole would be at another level with a little more production.Doubling up on your vocals would be good.Sounds like 52 was recorded live .Take it to the studio and I think you would like the outcome good job keep up making music !!!

Actually fairly good.
O.K. So this isn't the greatest recording, but it is heartfelt. I like the simplicity, and the plain way it's telling a story. Actually brings back some memories of long ago, waiting on the bus with my friends as well. Very kind way to so a friend you care. Good job. Lots of fun. Sincerely Edward

Bonjour ! Mes salutations !

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song the vocals sound like they are recorded in a bathroom and have not been produced - off key, etc... it's charming. The guitar work is nice and keeps it interesting.

Sincere and heartfelt
The genre of solo singer/songwriter/guitarist is tried and trusted and universal. It involves three elements which all need careful consideration in presenting the song. The words are crucial and in this case the artist has plucked them straight from the heart and created a feeling of warmth and sincerity, further emphasised by the presence of friends and family. The chord structures are familiar ones and the guitar is fair enough being played in a straight forward manner. The song perhaps is let down by the vocal performance in so far as there are pitching issues which need addressing. This is always an issue with live performance unless you are an experienced performer. Overall this is gets ten four stars for effort but in terms of overall quality only two stars hence my three point one rating.

Thanks For The Memories.
"Holding Breaks" is a song about memories and good feelings between friends. Sung and played with acoustic guitar by 52(live),it has a raw feel, and is captioned with sentiment for a buddy at his 40th birthday celebration. Acoustic birthday love...
