Dear Friends new single

Cover album

Dear Friends, I have a new single that I am selling in Bandcamp. If you have time go listen and buy. https://paquete.bandcamp.com/album/ethnotech The compositions present in this album were developed in 2010. This work combines electroacoustic music techniques in an ethno-technologic approach, with the use of recordings of Tibetan bowls among other informal metal, African orchestra percussion's, jambes and Sabar drums with some classical orchestra details and Turkish "clarinet". The two piece articulate in time, electronic sound modeling manipulation, where electric impulses, glitch and more urban rhythmic accentuate an obscure environment of tension, complemented by the noises of telephone, communications machines and other electronic devices in a rithmic and noise aesthetic. The sound formal composition was develop to elaborate panoramas, fragmentation and micro rithmic during the course of the play. As if a space of interaction and dialogue between techno-primitive is contextualized in an ethno-technology space of the present fragmented information society. Where the primitive is diluted with the technological apparatus in the trans-cultural world. Generating a music with no place of origin, trans-cultural and hybrid. credits released October 24, 2017 Released in October 24, 2017 The Includes material released in 2017 was developed composed in 2010. All tracks composed by Hugo Paquete. cover artwork by Hugo Paquete Hugo Paquete (1979) is currently enrolled in the PhD studies in Musical Science at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and is the recipient of a grant from the Fundação de Ciência e Tecnologia. He is a fellow researcher at the CESEM Sociology and Musical Aesthetics Studies of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, in the group of contemporary music and in the CYSMUS Group of Advanced Studies in Music and Cyberculture. -- He was an artist in residence at the ZKM / Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie Karlsruhe, IMA | Institute for Music & Acoustics, developing research on sound spatialization and acousmatic music. He was a Leonardo da Vinci fellow by the Universidade do Minho, and a fellow of the CreArt project — EU cultural funds, representing Aveiro, Portugal at the Atelierhaus Salzamt in Linz Austria. He collaborated with the Lithuanian artist Julijonas Urbonas on the Talking Doors project, which won a distinction in interactive art at the Prix Ars Electronica 2010 Festival, a jury recommendation at the 14th Japan Media Arts Festival (Tokyo, 2010) and an honorable mention at the Media Festival, Live 2011 Grand Prix (Turku, Finland). -- In his research, Paquete addresses notions such as space, noise, error, and glitch as conceptual systems that are able to generate dynamic sound and visual ecosystems in an exploration our techno-cultural and post-digital world. He uses techniques that range from electromagnetic recordings, reverse engineering, and synthesized and spatialized digitally modulated sound. He has a great interest in the intersection of art and technology in performative and installation contexts, in which he combines stochastic processes, gestures and programming interactions, audio signal modulation in compositions and real-time manipulated contexts. -- He has participated in other festivals, among which stand out: International Festival of Creativity, Innovation & Digital Culture, Spain, 2016; IN-SONORA. 9ª Muestra de arte sonoro e interactivo Madrid, 2016; 13ème Semaine du Son 2016 - Faire et écouter le son dans l’espace.
