Hip-hop has been able to expand globally and has become an internationally recognized art form, Even still the authenticity of its artist has been a requirement dictated by its fans since its beginning, The artist that have proved to stand the test of time are the ones that are able to find a balance between hip hop’s mainstream platform and the streets, Artist such as 26 year old 100 grand.

100 Grand ( real name Terrance Hill ) is a rap artist who has his roots in the streets of Detroit where he was born and raised by his mother, brought up in a single parent household 100 grand was subjected to poverty and witnessed the side effects of such an environment, He found refuge in music and hip-hop resonated with him, Being inspired by artist like Tupac Scarface Jadakiss and Young Jeezy he began to formulate his craft by incorporating his life experiences resulting in a style that is gangster edgy controversial but can be mainstream.

100 Grand released has first solo record in 2005 titled The world is cold and later a mix tape in 2014 titled Who’s the king, He left Detroit in 2011 and moved to Coachella Valley California for a few years and now he’s back in Detroit where he continues to develop his craft as a member of the rap trio Don Status, This trio has a mix tape that will be released in the near future, 100 grand boasts a writing range to be rivaled ranging from r & b to hardcore rap and everything in between, Once given the opportunity he will prove to be an asset to the world of hip hop for years to come.
