"Il Tempio delle Clessidre" is an Italian prog rock band.
The first album by Il Tempio, with Stefano “Lupo” Galifi on vocals, has been released by Black Widow Records in October 2010, reached the third reprint and is highly rated on the well known prog site ProgArchives, where it is listed among the best 20 albums ever in the Rock Progressivo Italiano genre and is considered one of the top albums in 2010. Stefano Galifi is the singer in “Zarathustra”, the progressive masterpiece by the famous Italian band Museo Rosenbach.
The current line-up has a new singer with an incredibly deep and intense vocal tone. Furthermore, our keyboardist Elisa Montaldo is one of the very few female prog-rock keyboard players all around.
The band played live in Seoul (South Corea) in October 2011 and have been invited to play in the USA in June 2012 at NEARfest (one of the most important prog-rock festival in the World), where they had a very good response from the audience. In November 2012 they played in the Italian festival Progvention and in the famous venue Spirit of 66 in Verviers, Belgium.
The band will play in the Crescendo Festival in August 2013.
