Lyrik, born as Nakia LaShone Edwards a native of Chicago Illinois, found her first love at the tender age of 7….Music. It was attending the shows and performances of her Godmothers that would initially spark the love for entertaining. Shortly thereafter Lyrik found herself consumed by writing songs and composing music.
“Swagg So Official” which features a laid back, confident lyrical flow laced on top of hardcore drums and bass line is the first recording by Lyrik. Lyrik launched Anthem Music Entertainment along with Eric Wilmer and released her first mix tape April 2012 featuring the first single “Bust It” produced by Block Edition.
