About Immortal S.U.S.P.E.C.T.S.
Immortal (expired link). are an American hip hop duo from King & Queen County, Virginia formed in 1997. It originally consisted of rappers Jade Klaw, Liu DelGôdõ (pronounced Lou Delgado), Blak Drag, and Desperado (now known as TopNotch Des). Rapper (expired link). was briefly in the group in late 2004. Independent label Beatdown Entertainment released their debut LP Negativity in 2001 which included the hit singles "Y'all Don't Wanna" and Magnificent 7. The latter featured King William County rapper Supreme and Beatdown's in house producers Live Roundz (Midas Millz & Vas Gatz-B.). The acronym (expired link). stands for Serving Under Surveillance Protecting Everything Considered To be Sacred.
In 2002, the group released its second album, Rulez of Engagement, which included hits "(expired link). (Keep it Movin')", "Feel My Pain" and "Sherry's Song." Rulez of Engagement was touted as being a much more serious album than Negativity as the groups subject matter was more based on social issues, haters and dealing with the death of loved ones unlike the gritty talk of glorified street life as shown on Negativity.
After the release of Negativity, Desperado left the group to pursue a solo career. They completed work on their third album Glory in 2004, which was supposed to have been the debut of long time affiliate (expired link)., but was never released due to Blak Drag leaving the group to pursue a solo career.
What seemed to be the end of the group as a whole, ended up being the beginning for some of its members. Desperado and Blak Drag went on to have very successful solo careers in the independent scene. Jade Klaw released his debut solo album Live Free or Die, but didn't find success until the release of the hugely successful album The Two Week Notice in 2010.
Later that same year, Jade Klaw and Liu DelGôdõ once again teamed up, but this time it was with their longtime friend Kevin Jackson aka Kevs to form a group known as The Triad. The Triad was a fuse of hip hop & R&B and their debut album was set to be released on Jackson's Hit Headquarters label. However due to other obligations, the album was shelved and the trio split and went their separate ways. Kevs went on to become a successful producer and singer in a group known as the U-Cubed Gang based out of Richmond, Virginia. Liu and Jade still performed under the Immortal (expired link). name.
On July 3, 2014 it was announced that Immortal (expired link). signed a deal with Brain Fuse Records and will release their EP entitled Boanerges, meaning Sons of Thunder with the help of Step 3 Entertainment and production from alternative rock producer George Walsh and Tamir Gostiša of the Slovenian band Dreamwalk. Their first single and music video, Hypocritical (Ain't Always What It Seems) was released on July 29, 2014. The song was produced by Walsh and Gostiša, while the video was produced by Pure Platinum Media and directed by The Son of Jerrell and Vickye Parker. At this time, the album's release date is unknown.
