Jazz Vocalist, Indigo Love
Singer, songwriter Indigo Love is a native Washingtonian, and a naturally gifted performer with a three octave vocal range and has been described as "easily captivating and able to capture an audience with her extraordinary talent, honest emotions and flawless delivery, a truly gifted and all around performer”. Indigo's sound is both sultry and versatile. Her mesmerizing style includes everyone from Sarah Vaughan to the Phyllis Hyman. She is a consummate storyteller, with the ability to take her audience on a musical journey.

In 1992, Indigo was awarded the "National Young Artist Award from Delta Sigma Theta in 1992 at their 41st convention. This recognition led to the opportunity to perform in a musical revue, directed and choreographed by Vinnette Carroll, playwright and Dr Nathan Carter, Morgan State Choir Director.

As a founding member of the Jazz Gospel Ensemble, an all-female vocal group, Indigo performed regularly from 1995-1996 at the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s Sunday brunch. Other performances include the Kennedy Center, Carter Baron Amphitheater, Blues Alley, Bohemian Caverns, the Twins Jazz Lounge and New York City’s, Manhattan’s Sugar Bar.

Indigo is the recipient of numerous Individual Artist Grants, awarded by the Prince Georges' Arts Council and she received a Mayoral Citation from Baltimore Mayor, Martin O’Malley for her participation as a semi-finalist in 2003 Billie Holiday Vocal Competition.

She has appeared on BET's Jazz Discovery Program hosted by Angela Stribling, Fox Morning News, and radio interviews with Candy Shannon on both WDCU Jazz 90 WPFW 89.3 coupled with reviews in the Washington Post, The Washington Informer, The Prince George's Journal, and Howard University's Community News.
Indigo has worked with an array of talented, musicians on both the local and national level in and around the Metropolitan area and has shared the stage with Angela Bofil, Roy Ayers, Paul Taylor, Peabo Bryson, Miki Howard, Joyce Cooling, the Arena Stage Players, the Alvin Ailey Dancers, and Harolyn Blackwell to name a few. In addition, she has performed at several local area schools, fundraisers and special events.
