Hi Everybody, Just a note mid month to wish you all a wonderful Summer Solstice, which just past us on the 21st June.... I'm still working on a couple of songs, no, three songs, for the new album. One Instrumental with reminitions of Green Onions, which I'm calling Pink Garlic at this point, mainly 'coz I can't think of another title for it, lol. Maybe I'll call it Green Mango, after the famous Discotheque on Koh Samui, Thailand. Incidentally, if any of you are going to visit Thailand, I would highly recommend the "Full Moon Party" on Koh Phangan, an island basking in the South China sea, which is pretty much paradise. The party takes place a day after the Full moon every month as a rule, and is a great place for a good knees up on the beach. For the rest of your visit, you should hang out at Jaya bar and restaurant, where my good friend Robert, from the Netherlands, hosts weekly jam and open mic sessions, so singers and musicians can join in on stage, if they're feeling confident enough. A great place... Well, after that small deviation, back to Indus Rush stuff, and the other two songs I'm working on, both of which involve vocals. Vocals is a sore point right now as after my throat cancer treatment, my voice box has not quite recovered yet, and I'm hanging in there every day waiting for a time when I can hold those long notes again. At the moment, there's a break in the voice each time I try it, so I'm waiting, and practising every day, so I can finish this album off. My medical guys say it's not long off, so it's worth waiting for.
