Himalayan Suite 1 & 2
Stunning in it's conception this musical entourage of players' offering is truly a treat. The narrator sounds like Freddie Highmore's voice. The story painted in notes of the harmonious elements of each instrument played are in contradiction to the stark poverty of the characters highlighted this piece. It is rich in its manifold witness of the magic musical instruments in harmony can create in the mind of the listener. This work is a feast for the imagination. These high calibre musicians are well versed in their craft. Elements of Asian & Eastern tone to the pipes and percussion were especially fascinating and appreciated.

Indus Rush - Himalayan Suite Parts 1 and 2
Indus Rush is the performing (?) and recording name of the Scottish musician and producer, Stephen Whitby. Himalayan Suite Parts 1 and 2 is a fascinating musical piece heavily influenced by Stephen's childhood in Pakistan. It is a mind bending production, part late night curry house flashbacks spent under the influence of your favourite drug and part Dark Side of the Moon Pink Floyd mixed together splendidly with Ibiza style beats. The track combines spoken word and Pakistani beats, sitars and synthesized sounds. I listened to it four times before writing this review and loved to more with every listen. In a world where we are, to quote a line from one of my own tracks, "building walls and thinking small, closing doors and ending calls" this is a magnificent musical manifesto for the benefits of open borders and multiculturalism. I heartily recommend digging into the work of Indus Rush and this track in particular is wonderful. I believe this is the first ever 5 star review I have given.
