Straight, melodic and traditional Heavy Metal is offered with IRONY from Heidelberg.
Influences: Metal from the 80th a la Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Nevermore and Iced Earth THE HISTORY of Irony began with the sudden end of the local heavy metal Band "Anisy”, in which Jörg Billeb (dr) and Wicky (b) made the rhythm section. These two Guys from Heidelberg (Germany) don’t were just nameless faces in the Musicscene. So they search any further musicians to build up a new Metal Band called IRONY. After a long Time of searching the right People to realise their dream, they’re found Mehmet Bullut (v), Robert Kerner (g) and Max Endele (g), in May 2000.

Just few Months after completing the Line-up the band played numerous concerts and build up a small (but loud) fan base. In the same Year the band recorded their first demo-CD to have an objective view on their own kind of music. The Demo ruled and the band and the fans were satisfied with it. Confirmed in what there were creating, IRONY entered the BEAT-HOUSE-STUDIO (Rauenberg) to record their 1st full-length DEMO-CD named: Release the Beast in 2001. The critics agreed: The result of their work was great. "Heavy oder was..." a German Metal–Mag, gave them 9 from 12 points for "RELEASE THE BEAST”, which made the five Piece band very proud ‘bout their CD.
