About Israel Shalom
Orlando-based rapper/Israel Shalom has been creating music for over 20 years. Israel has been in and out of “the street life “and since changed his life, taking this culture and cultivating his sound. He started rapping in a basement studio in Modesto, California, by age 14. He would then go on pursuing a life of crime and find himself incarcerated, only to practice and hone in on his freestyling skills, battling other jail-house rappers. He would also hold mini-events during his incarceration, where he would cover various songs for the entertainment of other inmates. Israel's style is widely influenced by Hip Hop Legends from across the globe, such as NWA, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Nelly, Lil Wayne, and Plies, as well as an array of multi-general styles of music, as his father was also a musician who loved music. Other influences may come from musicians such as The Isley Brothers, Earth Wind & Fire, Smokey Robinson, and The Gap Band. In 2020, Israel Shalom decided to push himself further by enrolling and graduating with a bachelor's degree in Audio Production and soon following a master’s degree in Entertainment Business. Israel aspires to be an encouragement to the people by overcoming and renewing the mind, having the audacity to know where you come from but not allow it to define you. Throughout his music, he shares his life, facing opposition and the slaying of giants. The experience is what transforms and grows you.
