Here's What's Happening!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to all you new subscribers, it's great to have you on board. It's tempting, with all this gorgeous summer weather we're having in the UK to actually sit outside and do nothing all day, and life outside of music has been chaotic too, but there are so many exciting things going on that I'm very quickly dragged back into the studio to get on with things. Monday (23rd June) saw the release (on Violent Candy Records) of my latest Tokyo Witch Hunt ep, a digital download, with some CDs having been burned too, of my 4 most recent creations. TWH has taken a slight twist in genre this time, which you'll see throughout the EP, it still retains its catchy pop feel, but has less sugar and more fries and lime ;) 'No Straight Lines is available from iTunes, Deezer, Google play,Spotify, Rdio, Amazon, 7Digital, Nokia, WiMP, We7, Emusic, Simfy, Juno, Track it Down, Beat5, 24/7 Entertainment and Amazon on Demand.. and is arguably TWH's hottest release, so make sure you get your copy ordered! Tokyo Witch Hunt also played it's huge, 13 venue hometown festival Live in Barnsley at the weekend with a set on the main stage at 2pm to a wicked, eager crowd, and then played my version of The Cure's 'A Forest' as requested by the promoters just before the Finale to a heaving, excitable, surfing mass of 650 people which was a total delight and I am still in awe of that. I need arenas!! :D My latest collaboration outside of my own music has been just as exciting with Mark Sheppard of The Offering. This also has taken quite a major twist and is suddenly much more dance, but of course, it's not that simple. The track, entitled 'All Right' is to be touted to Sony Entertainment under a new pseudonym, which we thought more appropriate now than Izzie Voodoo & The Offering, of Kat Fur. Fingers crossed, because this track is immense. Izzie Voodoo And The People (yes, this is another reason for the Kat Fur swap, because I too was getting confused) are starting to write more material again shortly following the huge popularity of 'Photos'. So far I have heard the first of Derek's intended instrumental tracks for the project and it's really quite exciting waiting to get into writing the vocals. That, I think is it for now, but I'd like to take the opportunity to urge you to 'like' the Tokyo Witch Hunt facebook page (unsurprisingly, www.facebook.com/tokyowitchhunt ), and download your copy of No Straight Lines if you like it, from whichever store you like- AND let me know your thoughts on it too, which is always wonderful to hear. Be good to yourselves, massive thanks for your never ending support, love as ever Izzie x
