I love the vocals and the instrumentation. Tonya Jaci Rae blesses this song with her characterization and timing with her vocals. This is a pleasure and an inspiration to listen to. Her inflection with her vocals and heart is spot on.

Hi Tonya, The whole song lacks some uumph! needs some more in the background to thicken it out. You need to make use of 'Compession' in the choruses. It needs to 'drive' more! That will lift up the song. Your vocal ability is ok, Just learn to phrase your vocals better and be more assertive with them. All in all not too bad a job over all. But there is a lot to improve in this song to enhance it. Your vocals seem slightly nervous? Be assertive, when you sing bring the lyrics as if you mean what you are singing not just singing them without emotion. be more positive.have a really good listen to 'Dolly' and her 'Phrasing'.

I usually don't review or recommend covers of old songs, but I am very impressed with Tonya Jaci Rae's cover of the Dolly Parton classic "Coat of Many Colors." Ms. Rae sings the song very well, and the arrangement behind Rae's vocal is not overdone. I don't know whether this will be a hit or not, but I like it and I hope you do as well. Happy listening!

Well, I guess this song is made for a rather conservative community, and I suppose they like it. It is well produced, it sounds good even through my poor laptop speakers, the mastering is wide and open which I like. From a more neutral musical perspective, though, I miss any sort of surprise. The song follows a stereotype structure that can be heard in thousands of similar songs as well, there is absolutely nothing special in it. Even the chorus, the hookline, doesn't remain in my ear. 4 stars for the technical quality and 2 stars for the rest gives a 3.

Nice pick and strum acoustic country sounding song, nice affectionate voice, song reminds me of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat as the lyrics are similar. Some neat Hawaiian guitar playing too.

Nice melody and very sweet voice. The slide guitar fits perfect to the acoustic strumming on the guitar. Very simply put together song . The small but nicely put guitar licks work very well , keep it up.

Old but new sound in the tradition of folk and Blue Grass Country music. A voice with a timbre that touches the heart and soul. Beautiful rendition well crafted musical composition. Reminds me of the Bluegrass genre heard at many small gatherings like the Gaither Family. Truly a ballad of love and faith. I enjoyed the talented vocal and the multifaceted instrumentation. I believe you have a number one for Christian Country in this song so I would recommend posting it in this genre too!
