Greetings and blessings!
Greetings to all my wonderful listeners on N1M!
I wanted to reach out to say how grateful I am to you for playing and sharing my songs with the world! With so much sorrow and hardships in the world, one of the best things we can do for ourselves and others is to listen and spread the joy of music. Music brings us light, peace and calming energies. It reduces anxiety when we are stressed. I am blessed to be a musician, and my music does this for me.
The last time I wrote to you all, I spoke about the many changes we all had to go through with the pandemic..it was traumatic for us all. I went through my own personal challenges as well, having lost my father in May of 2022, who was diagnosed with terminal lymphoma as well as Lewie Bodies dementia. It was so difficult to see his personality changes that resulted from the dementia. Dad was always such a very busy and positive man, ready to take on any task to make life better for anyone he knew. He slowly went downhill, suffering from angry outbursts that he could not remember having when he came back to 'himself'. I don't know if it could be called a 'dark blessing', a phrase I use when difficult times result in positive growth, but my dad passed from the lymphoma before the dementia could take his personality away from us. He still could smile and joke with the nurses and doctors. He still could hug his family members and know who we were. The last time I saw him, we both said how much we loved each other. That was a blessing. I know he is still with me in spirit and I dream of him at night. I wrote two songs inspired by him, one called "Just One More Day", and the other called "Dance With Me, Darlin'", both songs from my heart. The first song I wrote just after he passed and sang it at his services. I just finished writing the second song, inspired by the beautiful way Dad and Mom danced together in their marriage for over 65 years. I'm planning to go into the studio and record both of these songs in either March or April and release them as singles. You, my wonderful listeners, will be the first to hear them on this platform!
The other news is that I am planning to record a new album this summer! It'll be a variety of rock, blues and ballads. I'm very excited about this and already have a few original songs completed for this. Keep checking back and I will let you know just before they are posted on my page!
Finally, once more, I would like to say you all have my deepest gratitude for supporting myself and other musicians who live to spread the joy of music to the world. Music heals us..brings us hope, peace and light.
Bright blessings to you in all your days,
Jacque Marsh
