About Jai.P

I remember being a kid and watching my older brothers performing on stage at a local festival in Seattle. I was pretty young at the time but vividly I can remember watching in awe while having this amazing feeling of belonging.

I grew up a little different on music than most kids I knew. Most stayed current to whatever was popular on our local station; while i got a heavy dose of Jazz, Funk Gospel & Soul. I can't recall one function where some Zapp & Rogers weren't playing in rotation with some Kem, Prince, The Isley's and many more. I didn't have the appreciation then for what turned out to be a blessing as I began pursuing music professionally.

(expired link) music is made with thanks to the lessons I learned from various artist in an era most refer to as "real music". My Thanks extends to my mother who introduced poetry into my life and pushed me to believe in greater. Rest easy in Paradise.
