James and the Devil
Hey All, just wanted to let everyone know, Jim, is okay. He was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, grade 4, brain cancer last July and has been dealing with radiation and chemotherapy ever since. His most recent MRI shows the tumor bed just barely receding. There is no increased blood flow to the area, suggesting the tumor itself is not growing anymore. This is great news especially with the holidays around the corner. We genuinely appreciate all your blessings while he deals with his trying times. Jim's philosophy is "if U think it's healing me, then I think it healing me".
I hope you all are ready for our fresh new album, "Show Me Everything" Due to come out officially by the end of Winter 2015. It will incorporate a few songs from "Sample This" remixed and remastered. We have put a lot of time, work, and production into this project. The album is pretty diverse, you can definitely tell how each band member was influenced by something different. "We're not interested in recording in the same style twice on an album, give me a show, show me what you got, what sets you a part?" The album will display several different genres, working in tandem with each other, to tell a bigger story. We can't wait for you to hear it!

Colorado Band making waves around the region. A mix of passionate vocals, shredding guitar and fiddle, over a Rock Solid Drum and Bass Section. Formed in Denver, Colorado, James and The Devil perform their own brand of music, best described as Rocky Mountain Fiddle Rock.
Rhythm Guitarist & Lyricist, Jim Campbell, brings a unique element, providing a clever assortment of song writing, rapidly delivering intense vocal performances.
Leading the band on the Violin, David Ross, takes a progressive approach to his Fiddle-Style, drawing from years of traditional experience, and sawing on the strings to whatever genre is thrown his way.
J & the D, Bassist, Adam Carpenter, holds down the low-end, with an extensive background in music theory, punching in, and pushing out sound- A slapping, singing, and dancing, machine.
J&theD, Drummer, Matt Stoner, keeps the thunder thumping, metal crashing, and the people moving. A former producer, writer, and composer of the Rock Style.
Lead Guitarist, Percussionist, and Jack-of-all-Instruments, Brian Knapp, bringing a multitude of live experience, joined J&theD in 2013 to complete the 5-piece!
J & The D dropped their much-awaited first full-length album Altitude Sickness in May 2011 to massive crowds throughout CO and large music festivals across the country. Their songs are for every demographic, old and young. Their fans are made up of dreamers, drinkers, thinkers, and smokers.
James and The Devil is currently tracking and recording their sophomore album, over the winter of 2013. Keep an ear out for what is sure to be a huge musical release by J & The D on the music scene in 2014.
