About James Lascelles Quartet

James composes, arranges, produces and performs for Bands, Theatre, TV and Film.
James runs workshops and teaches piano and percussion to pupils of all ages. The James Lascelles Quartet, has been performing music
off the new CD “Aspects of Joy”, notably upstairs at Foyle’s
Jazz @ Ray’s Cafe; in the West End of London and at Mama
Stone’s in Exeter, which were very well received. A mix of
World music, Folk, Jazz and Anglo/Caribbean grooves, the
Quartet comprises 4 highly skilled, open and seasoned Pros.
Richard Bailey is on Drums and Percussion (Incognito,
Stevie Winwood, Des’ree, Jeff Beck), Kuma Harada on
Bass/Guitar (Van Morrison, Billy Ocean, Mick Taylor), Tim
Herniman on Sax/Violin (numerous UK sessions including
Scott Walker) plus James Lascelles on Keys and various
Percussion instruments (Frank Zappa, Joan Armatrading, L
Shankar, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Steve Harley and Cockney
Rebel).
Richard, Kuma and James are also members of the
legendary Breakfast Band.
