The song is very introspective, & written about quite a dark phase I went through a couple of years ago struggling with stress & anxiety - mainly due to career & relationship frustrations - it's about realizing you've been living a lie & compromising your goals & having to hit 'rock bottom' to make a clean slate & start over; something I'm sure a lot of you can relate to! ;)
