Sometimes simply saying what one feels and multiplying the depth of that emotion by applying music to the equation creates a new multilayered emotion that is still simple in context but complex as the music pulls us deeper into the emotion. Beautifully simple. Elegant. Tragic only because the end is the remainder of the beginning.

This song is very emotionally sung, completely on key. The phrasing is excellent. This vocalist has a powerful and very listenable voice. The chorus is strong, singable, and compelling. I know that sometimes, songs arrive here with the recording money spent. It is what it is. However, IF there is a way, this song could really benefit from a converted effort to rewrite the verse lyrics, especially the second verse. With some real time of pressing in to what you want your song to say... What you want us to feel, taste, see, smell, hear.... Paint us the picture with your lyrics. What is gone? From where? Is someone else gone? Who? This song really deserves some better lyrics because it is such an excellent start so far. Love the melody. Love the singing. Love the simplistic style of recording... No over production. Thank God NO AUTO TUNE on the voice. And the chorus is powerful! Even the first verse... You can get by with it, but that second verse??? Nah. You know it to, as you stumbled as you sang it, because it isn't even metered right. As my friend used to say, too many syllapables! I sure hope you understand that I love your talent. I am truly hoping you will rewrite those verses, especially the second one. Maybe, just re- tweak the first verse... Because I believe you are a dedicated singer/songwriter and that you will take what I have said to heart, and that you will write those better verses, I am going to give you five stars, because I believe that the rest of your song is that good. I genuinely really like this recording. It isn't perfect, and I'll come to why that is (purely a personal view you understand) but it has really got a lot going for it. It is a crisp, clear recording, the piano and guitar are really strong, and the vocals are so dramatic. I love deep vocals, but I was really hoping that Javiere would have gone for it a bit towards the end a la Lewis Capaldi. And a bridge around half-way would have been perfect, maybe utilising the drums that come in right at the end. Without a dramatic bridge, it's a bit too long for me. So a few tweaks will make this an absolute better. We'll done. As I said, I genuinely love this. It stays with you. And that's half the job done. Keep at it.

Hi Javiere. Nice song. Just a ew suggestions. Maybe a bit more intimate (less reverb). Even and acoustic, less orchestral version could make it more intimate. Vocal harmonies following the lyrics and melody. Perhaps singing an octave up later in the song. Great work, though. Keep it up.

What struck me immediately about Away is the strength and sincerity of the singers voice. It engulfs you and draws you in to listen. Then it is incorporated with tasteful harmonies and distant repetition in the background. I enjoyed the piano orchestration as well. It accents the vocal perfectly. The lyrics are reflective in nature, but difficult to understand where he’s been. But it’s been a while. He seems to be searching. For what, I’m not sure, but there is something about the delivery of this song that says it’s important and concerning to the writer. And that’s what makes it good. It’s meaning isn’t spelled out for the listener. It allows you to fill in the blanks for yourself while you listen to the good voice and the reflective mood of the music.

The song is softly accented by a pleasant male vocalist that goes easy on the ears. The song exudes with longing and recollection and also seems to have an outlook towards a future that may reveal itself. The positive note that is accented in the lyrics is the sense of accomplishment and proving it by actually writing this song. This song reeks of potential. The lyrics need some work, honestly. Writing is re-writing. Lose some of those extra words that aren't necessary, and it will tighten itself right up! I would remove half of the reverb. This is real bleak, dark. Very alone...it should sound bleak and alone as well. It sounds very big, but it's a few clicks too big. The feel of this is stuck in a hole, down, melancholy, lose some reverb and that will fasten itself. I would also bring the overall volume down by two clicks. CHEERS
