Jay expresses, "Although it doesn't cure the symptoms of PTSD, but it surely makes life a little easier for me to deal with". He raps about unfortunate experiences that take place while enlisted in the USN. Those experience are now apart of his life forever and he chooses to share with the world deep thoughts and secrets that he has held coveted for many years. His return to the civilian world was met with unpleasantness as he dealt with obstacles and racism as a Black Man, while achieving his educational goals(Master's degree) under these constraints. His perseverance will shine thru in his songs.
