About Jay Erve

Jay’s life has been full of triumphs and challenges. He has always showed a strong desire to learn music, at age 5 he was already digging through his parents vinyl record collection. After penning his first full song at the age of 13, Jay slowly gained enough confidence to display his skills in cyphers at school. By the time he had graduated from high school he had formed his 1st group (Prisona's of Society) and had become a seasoned performer through countless shows throughout the region. Shortly after, he started co-directing his own videos. In 1998, he co-founded a revolutionary 5 piece live hip-hop band dubbed the Nocturnal Urbanights that toured internationally. After the dissolution of the group, Jay Erve has gone on to release 10 full albums worth of material, along with directing a handful of his own videos. In 2018, Jay was diagnosed with kidney cancer and underwent a series of surgeries that left him needed dialysis treatments. Winners don’t let obstacles stray them from their purpose. Last year, he founded a full fledged management company Charles and Trimble as a vehicle to discover and nurture new talent.
