Restless Future Music
Jay Rest first started making music from a young age learnig firstly how to play keyboard. He went on growing up into his teens still having a passion form music,at times things were a little tough but kept motivated by the fact music will forever be heard.
A high school drop out aged only 15 he used that time to progress within his production . going on to enrol into college onto a music programme he started to find his form . he rapidly went from making tracks in his room to performing on stage at various venues including the famous Birmingham NEC arena,
Forming a strong alliance through college with Co Producer Jonny AKA Nocky Nox.
In the early days of there musical path together Nocky (Jonny) didn’t always think he had the ability to become the sensational artist, songwriter and producer he is to date Jay told our reporter
“Nocky never really thought he had it, he was always seen by the other guys in the team as the younger dude, the dude that spat bars,Nocks developed into one of my favourite artists and producers, I look up to him hes living proof things get better with time and effort, he’s a little genius”
Having formed a great partnership Jay and Nocky kept working together throughout college writing short but suspenseful tracks.
Jay then went on to study at university and lost contact with Nocky for a number of years, 7 to be exact.
A phone call and several chats later they were back together, older smarter and wiser the two began sitting dow together producing beats and writing songs .
Jay tells our reporter
“Id go over on a Tuesday having been writing some vocals for 3 days while Nocky worked on the drums, the foundation of the beat, id then sit and he would sit next to me we’d search for a nice melody , sick bass #BASE (Jay said put that) , play them in Nocky would arrange, I’d roll one, finish the writing and we’d record, we did that for months 2,3 sometimes 3 and a quarter track done in one day, aint no thang”
To say the least these two have formed what I can only described as a biological bond, through music , there efforts to consistently maintain
