First, let me welcome all the new subscribers and especially those at NumberOneMusic.com. This site is our new focus for exposing our current projects along with our history. If you are new, a standard statement of our philosophy and how it creates value for you is always included at the end of this newsletter. This first paragraph will begin every newsletter. We need a favor. I have several songs pending for review. If you can find those that don’t have reviews written, it would be most appreciated if you could write something. We are thinking of many ways to re-establish ourselves after the disasters that took much of our material from us, 2 floods and a studio foreclosure. Patreon is very important to us of course but we also want to know what you want. We are working feverishly to get our websites back up, to get you music and merch that you want to buy. We really need to know where to prioritize the meager dollars we have. The country album April’s Fool by Lorne James has perished but the demos remain. I posted up one demo on http://www.numberonemusic.com/jltrecords and i would really like to know if we should release the demos. Listen to the cut No More Fears for a good representative sample of the whole album. We will be building some new websites that will give you more insight to the festivals we are involved in… watch this space for the latest info. We have video and some compilations coming. We should be doing an album of African music soon with several artists featured. The Status of the Projects That Are Up Next. Audio recordings: 1 Playing for an Audience of One - Jael. This will be his 33rd album and the 1st praise and worship album exclusively. Does anyone see any significance in the number? Anyone remember the first vinyl record with Preflyte back in the 70's? One song which was the prelude to the first album has been taken and expanded to be included on the new one. There will be 17 tracks including bonuses. This project has experienced delays for financial reasons but it is in progress. We are still in the studio recording this. Beds are finished. Overdubs in progress. Guitar overdubs are nearing 50% complete, Woodwinds are 80% finished, Keys are not prominent but have a few items left, Vocals have not been started yet. Money is in to do 2 more sessions so we still need help to finish this. Post recording mixing and mastering still have to be done and some minimal distribution costs are needed, but the cover art is finished. 2. Concert for Whale World - Jay and the Rubber Band - 2nd in the Children's album set similar to Dynamite the Dinosaur. Cover art is in progress. Songs are written and demo’s done. This is an older album that was lost to a flood before it was released. Live video of a few songs are floating around the web. 3. Where's Peter Duo EP. Jael with John Krasinkiewicz - 6 songs. This is still being written. 2 Songs have been completed, 1 demo finished. 4 Tanzen re-release of Piece by Peace album. An import has been licensed by us and re-released from Italy a few weeks ago, our domestic version will have some surprises and be slightly different but is being delayed while the import is hot in all markets. 5. Release of Legion's boxed set. 3 albums. with extra demos. Will be released approx. one month after the new Jael release. 6. Jael's Boxed set - For the Record - 5 Discs. Target for release is post Where’s Peter. 7. For next year there will be a new Danter release. Possibly 2. The one for sure will probably not be the continuance of the trilogy but if there are two another element of that will be out. Live events. 1. Under the Tent Festival happened this September. Several of our bands played including Danter and Jael. We have been asked to do a mini version called Winterfest. Planning now but it may take a year to get it up and running. 2. Jael & Band will be doing a fundraiser for Haiti near Valentine’s Day 3. Teaze will reunite in Japan 4. Jael will do a missions tour to Africa, India & Thailand. Africa keeps expanding to include new countries. We started with 2 and may end up with 6 on the continent as well as 2 in Asia. 5. Jael’s grassroots indie tour of the US west coast in the Spring of '19 has run into possible problems. Randy Belt of Barley Station and Dianne Meinke are also headlining on the tour and there are some obstacles that are being dealt with. No definite news about things changing or remaining the same at this time. Books. 1. We are working on a Biography of Brian's story. No target date to finish yet. 2. Jael will release a number of his Children's Picture Books and has 2 non-fiction, a novel and a poetry gift book in the works. Work on promoting those already out has to get better so please help spread the word. Rachel Starr Thomson of Lamenting Vinyl is well established as an author and speaker. She has begun work on a new Christian Fantasy series (her 4th) and has finished the first book of the set. My idea is that the music comes to me as a gift from God and you should pay more attention than money. I give it because people tell me that the joy, the encouragement, the praise, the lessons, the parables, the calls to action found in it have helped them in some way. It's a theme of my life. It's called ministry and I have been dubbed a parable singer by some who know me well. It's not all religious but it is all intended to honour the Creator God I serve. So thank Him if you like it.
