Quietness (Jamie Dech)

Then Comes the Night

Song Reviews

First cup of coffee music

JLT Records' recording of "Quietness" by Jamie Dech is free-form jazz mood music, done primarily with just piano and clarinet -- a novel and daring sound these days. It would be great music to put on first thing in the morning, while you're brewing up and enjoying your first cup of coffee, or any time you want your own mind free to roam. For some reason, this music takes me to the beach, out on the balcony. The mood is contemplative, but ever shifting, and only late in the song is the piano-clarinet joined by synthetic strings that build additional mellow energy. Very pleasant, and quite a departure from the family-friendly dance music and artists this label is known for. An act of courage, and well worth the risk!

Peaceful music

Helpful

Ontario-based JLT Records has produced a peaceful tune entitled Quietness. The woodwind-driven melody is nicely supported by piano and background strings. Would fit a wide-variety of media.
