Some thoughts on IT'S TIME...
To begin with, I like short titles - so before I even spin this jam - I'm liking it. That's a good start. Now - the guitar riff and the edgy sound is very cool - and catches the ear and let's the listener know this song is going to be getting down. Good musicianship always commands respect. The drum intro(and the sound of the drums) is excellent, and as the song progresses - the drums come in gradually making the intro just fun to listen to! I hear a funky groove and this song rocks and to be honest - hearing this song makes me want to see the band perform this live! I can feel the energy and passion. I do think some stinging harmonies would have been nice to hear as the song moved along - or some guitar parts playing alongside the lead vocalist - I did hear a little - but more would have been nice. IT'S TIME - would have soared beyond the clouds with a 2 part harmony riding alongside the lead singer. That being said, the vocals and the lyrics are spot on. The mix is superb, and it is classic rock with a lot of zest and swagger. The overall sound is that of seasoned musicians throwing down with little effort - the experience and finesse is evident throughout the entire song. Some synth or organ would have been nice sprinkled in on some spots, and if it's there - I couldn't hear it. All things considered - this is a great song in every sense of the word. If it had some kicking harmonies ringing on the chorus it would be perfect. Thanks for sharing such a well crafted song - I'm blessed to hear it. Pure fun to listen to - ear candy -Wow!
