Music from another star!

Maybe you will think it´s a nice acoustic based song, when the music starts off, with a rhythmic and very engaging guitar sound. The singer beginns with his unique vocals and it seems he will going on like this. But you will be far from this. The whole composition is more various. The rythm changes in the bridges two times, making the song rich and brings the listener on the next level. Very nice melodies are played with different instruments. All sounding really professionell. The chorus is impressive and the pitch range varies. The song is definitely professional and very creative. Overall a really impressive composition from a very talented songwriter. I can´t stop listen to the music and I´m sure, you will like to add it. Let others know your recommendation.

Hollies are alive!

Jeffrey, hope you don't mind the comparison but I think it's got some legs, I like the tone of what you are doing, just need a bit more punch please! A few more highs and lows, Hit me with it, Cheers Bob

Great Mood.

Very reminiscent of good 1970's Americana sounds. The song moves around but stays within its boundaries. The vocals are spacious, well placed and the melody moves around like a Neil Young melody. I will listen to it again.

Great surprise

This song is very good sir. I like how you layered the instruments. You got the vintage quality blended with your own style. I am sure each listener will be able to imagine the stage performance. P.S. I would love to sample this track.

review of 'Front Man'

nice guitar sound together with a lovely pop/rock is the first thing that hits me when I listen to this. Voice is a mix of Neil Young but with a modern twist, maybe something like Travis or something even more offbeat and hip. Loved the composition, sounds were light, delicate and fresh...very easy to listen to and it already sounds like a well formed pop hit, rather than a demo. It's very pro mix and production. Simple yet effective is the best way to describe it. Good, very, very good would be another way! Keep this up, send more. Can't find anything negative to say about this at all.

Smooth and Mellow

This song has a smooth relaxing feel and vibe, that for the older generation, is reminiscent of Seals and Croft and America, yet it contains a more current feel. This is the kind of music I listen to when I need to unwind or to just chill to on a rainy or snowy day. Very enjoyable.

Intimate and smooth

Delicate Singer/Songwriter-Stuff here! The instrumentation is sparse and well thought out. Voice sounds natural and intimate, maybe a tad too much reverb on it in the verses. Well balanced mix with fine dynamics. I also like that it gets quiet at times, letting the song breathe. I feel calmed listening to the song. Definitely have to check out more from you!

Enjoyed the vocals - lead and harmonies. Nice production with the vocals up on top and instruments supporting the voice - everything is nice and clear. I like the dynamics, chord progression and instrumentation. Great Job ????????????

Mellow yet lightly moody masterpiece song!

Front Man by Jeffrey David, aka 'Modry', is a very light and moody masterpiece of a song. It starts with just a keyboard and guitar, before the vocals and later percussion, etc., come in. Then lastly, it finally turns into a very mellow jam session before it drifts off and away. The best thing I can say is that this track would be awesome in a music video (is there one?), and also in a indie film soundtrack! Great piece of music/songwriting - good work, Jeff!

Front Man, by Jeffrey David

Jeffrey David has a delicate and expressive voice, and the song plays accordingly. The instrumentation relies on a tasteful balance of keyboards and guitar, backboned by a welcome alternation of simple and double time on drums. Thus the song enjoys a feeling of evolution, confirmed by a cool inventive coda. There is dedication here. Teddy Nighter

Soothing and Relaxed

Such a beautiful song especially with the caressing lyrics and the outstanding voice that you have. I also enjoyed the many different instruments throughout this piece of work that you have created along with the multiple layers of styles. Great job my friend!

Smooth

It has a chill vibe and really mellow keyboard. I like the lyrics and they're great for the biggest fans. It's a little abrupt when the drums come in at the middle, but sounds good. I like the "ooh" in the background. There is a complicated transition with the drums during the guitar solo, which is cool. I like when it goes back to just the guitar and keyboard and it wraps up nicely before a 70s-esque upbeat lead out. Really relaxing and cool all around!

An interesting song full of unexpected textures.

It starts as a simple love song with a clear and crisp introduction. Then a few measures into the piece there is a sudden burst of unexpected colour and tonal depth. One would think that this is enough of a surprise but the texture changes again after a few bars (though not as dramatic). There at least two more changes/variations in texture; the last of which is significantly different (at least four changes in all). Every few measures some elements is added or varied in a way that successfully holds together. The last variation of texture is the one that you least expect but it still works and successfully maintains interest in the piece. Interesting and usual structure. Nice clear vocals and lyrics.

Front Man Magic

Delicate organ and guitar chords lead off in this slick urban alt blend. When percussion and bass fill the low end, this really gets the toes tappin'. There is a graceful, ethereal quality to the voice, an innocence that cries to be heard. A slightly schizophrenic arrangement keeps the listener alert for western and southern influences, but at it's core this fits best as a sophisticated hipster ballad. There really is something great here; close the eyes and it could be SXSW or some other hot alt venue. This could be the best band alt band on N1M. Strong work Modry. I'll be looking out for you from now on.
