I simply want to wish all of you a happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for everything God does. I am thankful for all of you. We keep growing at a steady pace. We're having other listeners daily on other music sites & radio. I am thankful for everyone involved. Music websites/apps, radio stations, playlist adds, invitations to Nashville & elsewhere. Some minor labels have reached out to us. I've done that before. Not such a good experience. But they went to prison and the state gave all the artist full rights to their projects. Surprised me to hear about that.

I have much more person things that we all have and are thankful for. Those precious moments when God intervenes and everything works out better. Whether it be a family member, loved one, neighbor, friend, fan or enemy makes no difference. God loves all.

One of my favorite songs is "Thankful" by Caedmon's Call. God says no one is good. Everyone goes astray. There are no good people. Things don't get progressively better by accident either. It's the same principle. By default we don't get better. It takes self-maintenance right? It is what we do. Jesus will help you too in case you didn't realize it as your go through whatever may come. He is there. Sometimes we forget.

I am sorry that we didn't get Astonished Doctrine done in time to release it before the end of the year. We're working on it fully aware of our beloved and yet demanding, adorable fans. Yes. New music is on it's way. Thank you for your patience.

I want to thank everyone for subscribing, following & sharing. We're now enjoying our growth on Spotify as well as, many of the other music outlets. Prior to 2023 we were virtually unknown. Today we are broadcasted on radio daily on a few stations that I know of. Some FM/AM and internet is all I know about. But I am grateful to see daily listeners on several platforms. I see this as a responsibility to continue in the pursuit of excellence in professionalism as we go forward.

There is a rumor going around that Brian May (guitarist - Queen) has said that Jeff Schmidt Band is popular in the UK and that they play us in the pubs. That would be interesting. I'll look into it out of curiosity. I only know that Chartmetric, an industry tracking company, show's us as having the UK for our largest audience.

We are still working on the Astonished Doctrine album. Hoping to release in the Spring of 2025. We're also making preparations for the Objective Nashville 25. The objective and the Extreme Tour come from these people. Last year only I went and met with people from the Christian music industry, artist and other music professionals. We were also invited to perform when the Extreme Tour came through Kingman, AZ. We're looking to showcase next year in Nashville.

What is amazing to me is how just a little bit of paid promotions brought us this far! None of these promotions were large nor moderate. Just the basic experimental or beginner's package. I paid $300.00 - $400.00 on radio promotions at the beginning of 2023. We're still being played on some of those stations. Some stations just start playing us out of the blue!

I believe that perhaps many of you have told someone about us. I think we're being discovered by people in general around the world. And the rate of growth appears to increase. This music is to glorify God. And it will always be that. I want to influence people in doing good, yes. I want to encourage the believer, yes. I want to tell everyone literally about Jesus., yes. Wouldn't that be something? To be able to tell the whole world about Jesus? It sounds like a lot of fun to me!

Heatwaves all summer and into fall. We need some cool music! We're working on our Album Astonished Doctrine. It is taking longer because we want it to be beautifully fine tuned in production quality. Gotta sound like professionals now. Having the advice from the people I met in Nashville this past May we aim to bring you the best quality we can.

The songs from the EP Astonished Doctrine Raw Cuts (unfinished works) will be completed in the album version. The Lion King Of Judah and Sonshine will be on the album along with some of our music videos. We have 36 videos on our YouTube channel

Last week I was in Nelson, Nevada USA with the Discovery Channel's Ghost Adventures. I played Charles Nelson who was murdered and they named the town after him. I think I played his ghost. No words, but my first TV show. I just did what I was told, got paid and went home. Sorry but I do not know when it will air. I believe it will be this season.

As some of you know our band has been invited to the Objective Nashville at Michael W Smith's Rocketown for 4 days. Unfortunately none of the other band members can make it. So, I'm going solo.

I have no idea really what God wants in this. But, I'm going to find out. One thing is certain is that our band's material will be presented to "All our label friends." Which means we'll be known by them. Record deal? God only knows. But there is so much more to this. Such as The Extreme Tour. If we get invited to tour I'll let you know. Oh, I'll have a report for you no worries.

Feels like Spring to me!

How is everybody? I hope that all of you are well and are enjoying your relationship with Jesus. He is blessing us all the time.

NEWS: Yep. We are experiencing new opportunities! We have been invited to meet with music industry professionals in Nashville at Michael W Smith's Rocketown! We're on our way to Music City!

This is for The Extreme Tour. As well as other industry link and if we do go on tour I will post the time & places. As well as any other performances.

This year started off with some radio stations broadcasting our music continually. They still do. We have an active daily audience on Spotify which we did not have at the beginning of 2023.

I especially want to thank those of you who have shared our music on social media. When Jodi saw that Heartbeat has had several plays she said, "I'm on the internet?" And she shed a few tears with excitable joy! I simply replied that God is awesome.

Happy Thanksgiving and praise God for all those blessings!!!

As it is soon Thanksgiving (and we have failed to release an EP yet) I wanted to send Thanksgiving Day wishes of God's loving kindness as we all have plenty to be thankful for.

I did place my band members on absolute and strict orders (I'm a slave boss) and told them that we have one week left to get everything we can done for the EP. And possibly get it released before the end of the age or this year, whichever comes first. I had hoped to have finished it by now. I do apologize.

We have decided to release it ASAP. After this Thanksgiving we'll record one more time. And that will be it for our rough draft/raw cuts Astonished Doctrine EP. If it doesn't finish the processing with our distributor before the end of the year it will be released as soon as they can get everything finalized.

Please understand that these songs for the EP are unfinished works. Not for radio. They have errors. Many errors! Part of me says don't do it! Don't release it! Bad idea!!!,.... But, then I realized 2 things. 1.) You have all been waiting patiently (except for ONE OF YOU and she slightly upset for more songs to be posted):) And 2.) We haven't released anything since War Song. I just thank God so much for bringing us to the place that we are in with our music journey.
I miss John Hayes. He was a good friend, our encouraging motivator and a great drummer! He will always be missed. You will hear him on the song written by Dennis Reeves, "Walk With Jesus Boogie." And I am Thankful and blessed that Dianna Hayes remains in the band. When you loose your spouse you're not sure of everything for awhile. She and her family are doing well. Thank you all so much for all your prayers.

TOUR,
Did I tell you about a tour? Well, it's not final but I will share. About 3-4 weeks ago I received an email inviting Jeff Schmidt Band to go on The Extreme Tour. If it be God's will we will go. Not all the members can afford to go on tour. I'll need to find a bassist and a keyboardist and/or a guitarist. It's not the kind of tour you can afford to quit your job.

God knows I am not going to ask anyone to quit their job and step out in blind faith. I know He is practical and that is not bad. Remember the Tower of Siloam? And the disciples ask about what sin caused this to fall on those people? "Jesus responded to the question, answering that the calamities suffered by the victims of the falling of the tower of Siloam were not related to their relative sinfulness." Wikipedia. No sin caused the tower to fall on anyone. It just fell. Not a happy story. But it demonstrates Christ explaining that things occur naturally not always by divine intervention.

As Thanksgiving is near I am thankful for so much including the all time favorite forgiveness of sins by Jesus giving His life. And coming back to live forever. Encouraging and leading us each day! What a wonderful God.

I sure was surprised to see this! I didn't know that any of my songs had charted this well in other venues. But number #2 in Romania for Christian/Gospel is a blessing! And so is hitting 94 in Broken Hill! This just amazes me.

Now that is exciting as it just plain is to watch your music audience grow!

Also Jeff Schmidt Band is beginning to receive more frequent radio airplay.
It is almost a daily occurrence to have a song or two played on the air.

The alleged EP is getting closer to the finish. This has been a challenging year.
I can see from the numbers that Sonshine is well received. Due to that I think I will publish "Joy Dance." And yes you may as well become fully prepared to dance! You do know that you can dance and worship the Lord at the very same time!!! I heard all those yeses.

Hello everybody!

I am grateful for all the subscribers new and those who have remained even from the beginning. I still am amazed at all the song plays as they continue to grow. I have checked back as far as I could and to see and over 1,400 song plays daily is humbling. And that is just here on N1M.
Some Indie Network people have sent emails stating that Fear the LORD (Radio Version) is positioned (or something like that) to become Number One! They further state that they have looked into data on Jeff Schmidt Band and mentioned doing well on a global campaign. Being broadcasted on Radio, Satellite, Internet, & TV globally. Pretty Cool huh?
Spotify has a campaign they sponsor. They sent me a message saying that they too looked into Jeff Schmidt Band's data and offered the campaign!
This is where I say, "Okay Lord. I get the message. I'll keep working on it."

As some of you know last year we had lost our drummer John Hayes. He will always be missed. He was the band's enthusiast. Dianna (John's surviving wife) still is active in the band. Please remember to pray for her and the two children. Teens now. They seem to be well adjusted but some of us know such times of a year can be a bit of a challenge.

As some of you may remember I had mentioned our EP of raw cuts for you to sample prior to our album's release. The album is going to be named, "Astonished Doctrine." Therefore this is a peek into our next album. Also I wish to thank all the Jeff Schmidt Band members and the singer/songwriters who are contributing their talents & abilities for our enjoyment. I think you guys will really appreciate the direction we're going.
We also have a surprise cover song for you! It was originally released in 1972. Three originals from each of the song writers, Jodi Crowley, Dennis Reeves & myself. The Lord has put this work on our hearts so we're doing it.

Jodi's song is as a 50's style from the perspective of Mary the mother of Jesus. Dennis' song is a blues rock encouraging people to walk with Jesus.
And Jeff's song (as if it's not me typing) is about the millions of missing children. And I have yet to see Sound of Freedom. I joined link. (Operation Underground Railroad) or signed up for a newsletter. I receive the emails. But that wasn't the inspiration. I had to get rid of this "Hot tuna" going through my head every time I played the song. I wanted something serious. And that is when "Our children" pop into my brain.

If I do this right I have included a special gift. A song called Sonshine! There are lyrics to it but not on this take.
