I use my middle initial T. in my name, because there are many other artists with the name Jerry Yates.
I am originally from the far northwestern corner of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Ashe County, North Carolina. We moved to Fairburn, Georgia in 1961, when my Dad took a job with the U.S Post Office as a mail carrier.
