About Jesse Lee Humphry

Jesse Lee Humphry is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. Having started with piano at the age of 8, he expanded into percussion at 11, guitars at 15, and saxophone at 17. Since that time, he has been working tirelessly to improve his musical and lyrical craft.

In 2015 he began working on “Gone”, a standalone single to prove to himself that he could write, perform, and release music entirely on his own. With Lance Slusher at the controls to record, mix, and master, the single was released in April of that year.

Then, in the winter of 2016, while recording the first demos for what would eventually become the first album, a house fire robbed him of the equipment he had spent the last 4 years collecting and all copies of his material. It was a devastating creative blow and resulted in a brief hiatus from the music scene.

But in the summer of 2018, Jesse vowed to buckle down and entirely self-produce a full-length album. With renewed vigor, he wrote, recorded, mixed, and mastered his 2018 album “Wrong Side of Sunrise”, influenced heavily by the larger-than-life stereo width of Coldplay and the piano arrangements of The Fray.
