Hi folks, it's winter in the Sierra Foothills and we're just getting through a series of snowstorms. Lots of snow, falling tree limbs, downed power lines, and neighbors helping neighbors.

I'll be performing at the Brookdale Bluegrass and American Roots Festival in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The festival will be held jon March 24-26 at the Brookdale Lodge. I'll be performing on the 24th and 25th, and will also be helping Producer (and musician) Eric Berman MC the event.

For any producers and booking agents, I'd love to perform at small to medium festivals, and club tours, in the US and abroad. I've done a couple of club tours in the Netherlands, and would like to explore more places.

Hi folks,

As the year ends, I wish for peace and happiness for everyone.

I hope everyone is doing well in these trying times. I also hope that my music brings some comfort to those listening. I know you don't hear from me often - sorry about that - I'm more likely to be writing a song than paying attention to other things that I should.

But I'm here now and will give you an update :)

I've been writing lots, try to write a song a week and present it to a songwriter group I participate with in New York City (via zoom, as I'm sitting in the Sierra Nevada foothills). I performed at the Brookdale Bluegrass Festival in August 2021, in Tres Pinos, CA, and am sorting through a live recording of the performances to find what I might release - some are new songs that have not previously been recorded. My quota of songs on N1M is full (free membership), but I may swap out some existing songs for more recent songs. What I can't fit on N1M will likely appear on Spotify. About writing:
I've written hundreds of songs, but have only produced three CDs. That's because I'm paying for them myself :) Not asking for money, just hoping you'll understand that I have a lot of material I would like to share with the world, and will continue working to get it out to you one way or another.
Currently, I'm trying to book music festivals for 2022. Most were closed in 2021, hopefully there will be a chance in the coming year. On that note, if you have any suggestions for Americana/Folk/Bluegrass/SingerSongwriter/ etc. Festivals, especially where you live and might be able to come see me live, please let me know.

About live performances:
Live performances are very special, no two are alike because live performances are a two-way street. A two-way communication between performer and audience. My ideal audience is a group of people small enough to interact directly, one-on-one with the guy shouting "Freebird!" (insert 21st Century reference here).

I have reached the part where I realize that I'm rambling, so will bring this missive to a close. I wish everyone safety, happiness, love, peace, stillness and harmony.

I've got good news to share! I've signed with Silverwolf Records. My previously unreleased records will be released starting in October with "Sun Dreams", followed by releases of "Don't Let The World Get You Down", then "The Man in the Street".
Meanwhile, I'm working on my fourth CD, currently choosing songs from previously unrecorded originals, plus my newest favorites that I'm still working on. Stay tuned!
I know these are troubled times and have no idea what the "new normal" will be, but I want to share songs of hope with my friends, to help us a little through these troubling times.

Hi Everybody!

Thanks for the messages of encouragement and kind words! I'm really happy that you enjoy my songs. I've been writing a lot but not recording. I'm re-thinking how I approach recording. So far I've made 3 CDs, all with my own money. (don't worry, I'm not going to ask for your money! )
I'm trying to figure out how to go forward - I have hundreds of songs, still writing at a pretty good clip. (not all the songs are great, or even good...)
CDs seem to be less useful as people use streaming, so I might release some songs direct to streaming.
I would be happy to hear your thoughts on recording and releasing songs, so give me a shout!

In other news, I'm just now applying to perform at next year's festivals. I'm focusing mainly on central and northern California, but am looking at some festivals and songwriting competitions around the US.

I'd also like to return to the Netherlands where I've made several club tours, and venture in to new performances in Germany, England, Ireland, or wherever I find out they want me :) My financial goal for festivals and touring is to break even! I realize my music will not be the 'next big thing', but think my positive messages and outlook might be helpful.
(that makes me think of Alaska, where someone asked me to come there in the winter because it's so depressing.... I'm trying to figure out how to do that)
An Irish group recorded one of my songs so I'd love to be able to play there.
Again, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts and advice on festivals, touring, etc.

Hi Folks! Thank you for your support and the encouraging words that some of you have sent (you know who you are).
I was looking at the fan list and trying to figure out a way to get to perform in the cities where you live. I have some ideas, feel free to share yours. Or just send an airline ticket :)

I'll be performing on the live show "Please Stand By" hosted by Sleepy John on KPIG, Santa Cruz, this Sunday at 10 am. The show will feature songs performed live, and an interview. I'll be followed by three other artists/bands.
