Hi Everybody! Thanks for the messages of encouragement and kind words! I'm really happy that you enjoy my songs. I've been writing a lot but not recording. I'm re-thinking how I approach recording. So far I've made 3 CDs, all with my own money. (don't worry, I'm not going to ask for your money! ) I'm trying to figure out how to go forward - I have hundreds of songs, still writing at a pretty good clip. (not all the songs are great, or even good...) CDs seem to be less useful as people use streaming, so I might release some songs direct to streaming. I would be happy to hear your thoughts on recording and releasing songs, so give me a shout! In other news, I'm just now applying to perform at next year's festivals. I'm focusing mainly on central and northern California, but am looking at some festivals and songwriting competitions around the US. I'd also like to return to the Netherlands where I've made several club tours, and venture in to new performances in Germany, England, Ireland, or wherever I find out they want me :) My financial goal for festivals and touring is to break even! I realize my music will not be the 'next big thing', but think my positive messages and outlook might be helpful. (that makes me think of Alaska, where someone asked me to come there in the winter because it's so depressing.... I'm trying to figure out how to do that) An Irish group recorded one of my songs so I'd love to be able to play there. Again, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts and advice on festivals, touring, etc.
