Been quite some time since I've produced a new song. Oh, it's not writer's block or anything like that, I've got plenty of songs on the shelf. But to get them sounding great like they do is expensive - all the engineering and talent and what not. And then they just sit there 'cause I just don't know where to take them to get them "discovered" by a big publisher or name-brand artist who can do something with them. So spending goodly amounts with no results tends to dampen the creative spirit. That said, I was moved recently to write a new track call "Southern Comfort Inn" and we're now in the studio getting her done. It's about the everyman who is searching for inspiration and joy in a broken world and finds it in a most unexpected way. So stay tuned for "Southern Comfort Inn" and I sincerely hope y'all enjoy it.
