Hold On To Me (went to Number 5 on the N1M Canadian Pop Charts)

My Tunes Volume 1 Track 1

Song Reviews

It’s good

I see where you’re going with this song and it sounds great. You just need a little mix in mastering to make it sound more effective. Your voice is great but I want to hear and feel the confidence that I know that you have. Don’t stop, continue on and deliver good music for us to hear. The more you keep working on it, the more better edit it gets. Don’t let nobody tell you otherwise. By the way, this track does put me in the mind of Joe Crocker.

Live??

Live recording? There is no other audience sound, other than end and beginning. The drum sounds does not appear to match the sound of the recording for a live performance as the reverb and echoes appear to me to be different. I'm unsure of the authenticity of this as a live performance.

kinda mushy

a promising slide intro is quickly dissipated into a fake applause track and morphs into a muddy vocal and an acoustic track that should probably have been re-done. While the song seems to be okay on the base line, one cannot truly comment on a vocal track that is entirely un-discernible. A very strong suggestion is to revisit this in its pre mix and master state, again, start with the drums and bass, bring the vocal up with as little effect as possible, pan the guitars to either side and improve the clarity of the mix, and delete the fake applause track from the computer and never use it again.

Nostalgia at its best!

This song had me hooked from the first few seconds! I loved the live audience, it brought me to a feeling of festival vibes! His voice is like a smoky, barrel-aged whiskey! I’m definitely an instant fan of this classic rock hypnosis John Anthony has me in!

v0ce originale

voce originala. nata per il blues con il rauco della voce giusto la musica pero' e' po ballerina dovresti trovare buoni musicisti che sanno anche scrivere bei pezzi che valuterebbero la tua voce peccato per te ma nella musica qualcosa non va!

Hold On to Me review

I know I've said this before, but adding the canned applause to some of these tracks is only a distraction to the song itself and you should avoid doing it. Beyond that, this is not a bad song. It has a lot of melody that is enjoyable but would be easier to understand if you brought your vocals up a little bit. The drums appear to be off quite a bit throughout the song though and could definitely be redone, if possible. This is a nice song but it needs to be redone better. My best suggestion would be to take it into a good demo studio and have it re-recorded. Good luck with it!

more

Hi again I believe that not much happens of any significance when we're in our comfort zone. I hear people say, "But I'm concerned about security." My response to that is simple: "Security is for cadavers." When you're ready to quit, you're closer than you think.

Nice Guitar Intro

Sounds like a classic pop/rock song. The lyrics are ok. The vocals could use a little work. The overall recording sounds muddled and the vocals are hard to understand in some places. Otherwise catchy melody. Nice song.

Love the 70s vibe

I love the 70s vibe of this song. Reminds me of early 70s Pop rock. Like a Joe Cocker meets The Doors. Gotta great entro and cool lyrics. Love the bluesy guitar. Even has a bit of roy orbison in it.

Unique

A unique combination of familiar and different, new at the same time. I enjoyed listening to this! The raspy voice reminded me a little of Joe Cocker, but with an American country feel. Keep it up!

Nice

Nice track, and sung from the heart...Female Backing Vocals would be nice and give the track more inspiration....Also I feel a steel Guitar would would enhance the track especially when playing to a live audience and adds more character so all your fans get the whole story of the song...Keep on Rockin......Nik.

"Hold On To Me"

This Could Be A Great Track If The Final Mix Were Tweaked (A Bit)....Mainly, The Lead Vocals Should Be A Little Louder, & E.Q., To A More Treble Tone, In Order That They Dominate The Music More(Be Careful on This Step....Too Much, will ruin Your Track......Other Then Perfection.....Good Job , In The Studio......Grady Lark.

Pliant Pop Song

Introduction with a fat rock sound on e-guitar. The unique vocals of J.A. Saucier underlaid with acoustic guitar and gentle key sound enriching the mood. The romantic passion of the lyrics come from the heart and make the meaning of the song engaging for me. The bridge is an extra factor and brings additional beauty into the music. This popsong with rock elements reminds also on own relationships and isn´t far from normal radio hits. The mixing and mastering could be better, but overall good work. Listen to the song and I´m sure you will like to add it. Let others know your recommendation.

Not my genre, but I dig.

I love live music, regardless of the genre, has great bluesy feel. Even though I'm not a person who listens to live recordings either, as I find the sound quality diminished, I will admit I listened to the whole track and I did enjoy it thoroughly.
