too much reverb spilling over. bass needs tightening, eq wise. vocals need to come forward with less effects. all in all, a good & catchy tune. nice guitar work and good vocal chops. keep making music. your song is good

Buried in the mix
Snappy little guitar line promises a fresh approach. The mix is nice and clean, Well played and very on top of the beat. Right up till the guitar solo, where the performance falls apart a bit, but we are accustomed to that. However the vocals are once again buried within the mix of the song. There is also a processor glitch which is present thru multiple listening's of the song, so one can only assume that its in the mix itself. Sad thing is that the presentation is as such that one would first think the song would be catchy if it could be understood more clearly. That, and the unfortunate use of canned applause once again, which one has to realize with this composer is simply going to be present in EVERY mix.

Good song
I like the music, but wish the vocals were turned up, it's like they are hidden here. Your voice is good, the melody and playing are great, the engineering and mix are great also, so is the arrangement, but (personal opinion) don't hide your vocals, nor do they need to be swimming in reverb. With the apples at the end, it appears you are trying to make this sound like a live performance,

Good Arrangement, good Voice
This is music with heart and soul. The Guitar ist very important for the whole arrangement and it’s a great player !! I would wish to bring the voice more in the Front . But in the end of the song I Hear it was live!!! So I Would wish to hear the song as a record version. It’s an impressive work with music !

Hi Almost nothing works the first time it's attempted. Just because what you're doing does not seem to be working, doesn't mean it won't work. It just means that it might not work the way you're doing it. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, and you wouldn't have an opportunity. Take it easy

Hold On To Your Heart review
I've reviewed other works of yours and I see you have quite a few songs that you are asking for reviews on them. Many of them appear to be past live performances. The main issue with these types of songs is they usually aren't the best productions that they can be. This is the case in this song as well. It is not that it isn't a good song, because it is a catchy tune that flows well. But it's recording is not the best quality it can be. The rhythm guitar is much drier and appears to be either mixed in later or mixed too hot at the time. The vocals are harmonized nicely but with too much reverb. In short, this could be a good song if it were re-recorded professionally in a studio and mixed properly to bring out its best. I hope this helps you understand what needs to be done to get your songs at a level that your listeners and/or reviewers can get the most out of your work. They deserve it and you do too. Good luck in the future and hopefully you will try re-recording your best work for us all.

Thanks for nice song.
First impression, I felt nostalgia with the sound of the rock band of the 80's. I miss the sound like The Cars. I stopped listening to 2000s rock bands. I also want to compose rock music When you make a drum beat with a DAW on a computer It doesn't sound good. But it's difficult to ask a drummer. Please continue to rock sound. Best regards. HOLD ON TO YOUR HEART
FIRSTLY I THINK THE OVERALL PRODUCTION WOULD BENEFIT FROM MORE MID AND TREBLE FREQUENCIES IN THE SONG I THINK THAT WILL HELP THE OVERALL SOUND.THE SONG HAS MERIT HOWEVER IT REQUIRES MORE WORK TO BRING OUT THE QUALITIES.KEEP WORKING IT

Good content
John the music sounds great but its really hard to hear the vocal. If you can bring the vocals up a tad bit that would make all the difference in this song. I can hear the potential cause the music had me feeling good :) Best wishes!

Not Bad
This song is ok. I like the guitar playing and the drumming. It has a popular, commercial sound that will enable it to go far. It has a catchy, melodic chorus, another advantage. Great structure. The only component of this song I don't like is the sound of the vocals. They sound muffled and difficult to understand at times although this may be a live recording unless the applause at the end was dubbed on later. I understand vocals are difficult to capture live. Apart from the vocals, a fine song. Keep up the good work.

Unstrung Guitar reviews "Hold on to your Heart" John Saucier
First of all I love the song. It sounds a bit like Bruce Springsteen (I mean that as a compliment). With that being said I like how its sounds like The Boss while maintaining your own signature sound in the process. The drums are steady but don't overpower the other instruments. The cymbals are well placed and the snare sounds great and is placed in the mix. As a guitarist I like the tremolo, chorus and reverb effects on the rhythm guitar. The rhythm sound is constant throughout the song and gives the core instruments a great accent. The lead guitar is prominent after the second chorus and the lead guitar burns like the sun. The lead guitar starts out rather mellow and builds in intensity as the song rolls on. I really appreciate the way the lead guitar crescendos near the end of the lick. The vocals are great and the lyrics lead the song instead of the opposite in ill written music where the lyrics are following the music. The bass is simple yet prominent. The bass is walking around really nice and has a great placement in the mix. P.S. I think that about does it. Oh yeah I like the hawk and spit loogey sound about 3/8 to 1/2 way through the song. I thought it was a nice touch. Im not sure if that was really someone spitting or if it was a sound in the lyric recording that was meant to be edited out but it was a goof its what I call a "Happy Mistake) Thank You for putting your music out there for me to listen to. I am pleased that i am the one to give you a review. I am also a musician that has been playing Guitar for 24 years and I produce and record my own Alternative Rock, Rock and Psychedelic Rock and I have it posted to N1M also. I wish you the best in your Music endeavors and if you persevere you can build yourself a beautiful career. Don't worry what the haters say. I am a seasoned musician and I really liked it. This song also had a Charlie Daniels Band feel to it. Great Job John and have a wonderful Spring. I hope to hear more from you soon. Unstrung Guitar Aka Justin Schuster

Unique Rock based Pop Song
Great song influenced from rock and pop tunes. The unique vocals of J.A. Saucier underlaid with gentle acoustic guitar enriching the mood. The lyrics sounds like a story from the heart and the chorus make the meaning of the song engaging for me. But the whole song is more various. The music starts off with rock chords on e-guitar. There are brilliant accentuated guitar solos bringing increasing feel into the music. I like the drums how´s simplifiying "kick-stuff" and still concentrated on the accompanying bass-line. Professionel mixed and mastered live recording. I´m sure, you will also enjoy what you hear and like to add it. Let others know your recommendation.
