What a great voice you have, tone is consistent, then the drums catch me, good guitar break, I like the pre-chorus change up, then the chorus for me just sits on the "Be My Girl", I wanted it it go harder, or a stronger chorus rhyme with a melodic variation, a stronger more poignant hook. it feels like it is a work in motion, that is; all the parts are here, just tighten up the lyrics, nothing too predictable. Take Bob Segre's "Against The Wind" for example. There are some predictable lyrics but the story around it, the insecurity's revealed, expectations, disappointments, and hard bitter-sweet realism of fate and of one's surviving, well, it reaches the listener's at any age. I know the crowd applause is there, for me it doesn't feel real. I truly hope that crowd was going wild for your song. Just a note; some of the words in your verses were garbled, I had to strain to hear them. That can happen in live tracks, I get it. There again, I see and hear the potential here, I would take another pass at the lyrics, especially the chorus. I liked everything about the pre-chorus section. I wish you continued success. Peace.

A tune in a pop genre in front of his usual supporting crowd., always good to hear and review one of r. a Anthony’s tunes and as the crowd stared him off with his first words with a blast of energy this artist I call the blues an takes over and with the blend of his drummer and rocking guitar the lays out a fine piece of music not leaving much out as the panic abd ivory keys work to wrap around his story of his girl and his plea for her love and as always John delivers another great tune! Overall a nice effort...Good song. You sing it well. Now the things that I would improve in the production. Ask your engineer to bring you "in" in the mix. A nice warm reverb/delay on your voice. A little too much reverb on the toms...I would definitely like to hear you singing closer to the mic...with more presence in your vocal mix..you are a bit buried in the mix with the instruments.. I like your voice...you could use even a little more "gravel" on the higher notes of the word BE MY GIRL...Gravel is very sexy if you can do it and I can hear that you can... I hope when you record again you will remember these little tips. I worked in recording studios in Nashville for many years and Virginia, and Cincinnati, as both a recording artist and session musician. And many of the big AND small studios in Toronto and elsewhere in Ontario. I'd like to hear more of YOUR voice in your song. Nice Rhythm pattern. The Harmonies work well with the song. Nice electric guitar solo. Also nice little licks in the background with the guitar. The piano sound is good, Solid drum pattern . Good Job.

I'm not sure what is that.. an Original Song or Cover any way.. for Me is to predictable and static..need a new more complex arrangement ( I do not hear anything Special.. yes You have kind of Original Voice but I do not know if that will catch "The Ear" of Major Music Publisher or Radio Stations..Hey go for and send It out and let's see what will happen but I have a feeling that They will agree with Me.. Interesting opening leads to contemporary style of vocals and peaceful atmosphere to the song. Driving beat and great arrangement. Rise in the chorus works well, and this really rises up for the smash ending. Well done! Appause is right on.

The song and the way it’s presented clearly touches one’s heart. John shows the ability to reach out and help each person in his audience reflect back on their own experiences. His voice is very earthy and honest. His band complements him well. He has the ability to move others because it is genuine. Keep it up.

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song - the fake audience clapping at the beginning fades out too quickly, but it's a charming touch. John has a great soulful voice that would be exactly the type of singer I'd like to hear at the neighborhood bar on a Saturday night.

My review being objective to what I hear! If it was my recording; I would loose the clap it sounds false and gives a theme of the seventys. People will know your not on the Johnny Cash Show! Haha! I thought the music was tight all instruments are heard and are clear drums guitar solo, However you have a great voice but I could not hear in order to understand your lyrics! Advice; Bring your vocal to the front and let people hear the words! We are all trying to get that sound brother I hope my advice helps! Best regards!

Fun song to listen to. The most exciting thing to me is when you can hear the passion and effort put into a song. This to me is why folks listen and get engaged with a piece of Music ( or Art for that Matter) This could be revamped, for minute improvements. Intro/Out clapping ( better fade, it's obvious it was an add on) The other thing is Vocals are a bit laid back, Most likely, due to a large amount of Compression in the overall final Mix down. All of these minor things add to and distract from, the listening pleasure. Over all, The honesty is what matters and that was well established. Nice Job !!! :-)

Good music starts off with engaging rhythm. The drum-parts very detailed played and an extra factor what make the song more various. The accompanying piano sound of the keys is good arranged and come at the right time. The singer has a very dynamic voice and precise vocal projection. This arrangemend is not overly complex, but the lyrics are impressive and making the recording engaging for me. Nice love-song with fastidious e-guitar solos. But why do I tell this? Well, you might be a rock music fan, looking for the light at the end of the tunnel for good music. This song is a mix of rock and contemporary music and I´m sure you will like to add him. I do not like to start off negative, but you must get rid of the computerized crowd at the introduction of the song. Too much computerized beats for me, so this will sound very unfair. This is nothing I would listen to more than once.
