My Dream by John Saucier
I really like the song ... it has an awesome felling to it & exudes soulful feelings . the sound of the band is right on & leads match the feeling portrayed by the song and I love how the lead feels at the end good job ... I give a 10 outta 9

Rogers-esque
A nice Jimmy Buffet sounding keyboard line opens up the tune, laying the foundation for a Joe Cocker/Kenny Rogers feel vocal to come in and begin to continue. A simple guitar line intro precedes the verse, but unfortunately the lyrics are unintelligible and one is left wondering what the vocalist is actually saying. The overall melody is pleasing, but once again marred by an over complicated and not well performed guitar solo that would probably have been fine if it were less ambitious. Throughout the song the melody and music are once again pleasing, but slower songs usually present the hook thru the lyrics, and in this case, after 3 listens I still have no clue what they are.

Solid Rock
A solid classic rock sound, which is very reminiscent of Bob Seager and the Silver Bullet Band. The recording is live and well received and anticipated from the audience. The song opens with a strong vocal and guitar melody which has a John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band feel to it, and recieved a well deserved response from the audience. The guitar work is dominated by a clean strumming style with a great tonal sound and balance in the mix. The guitar solo has a feel that you would expect in the style of song, opening with a repeat of the melody before moving into a bluesy rock style. The drums and bass fit into their place as you would expect for the style. Nothing flashy or standing out, but providing a solid rhythm foundation for the vocal. Due to the live recording quality I could not understand the lyrics well enough to comment on the storyline. The style and tone of the vocalist is very similar to Bob Seager. Overall, I would say that this is a fun, good time rock song for a bar environment but, it's a little too familiar too stand on its own. I felt like I was listening to a cover song rather than an original. I give it 3 stars listening at home, but 3.75 as a crowd pleasing song in a bar environment. Coffinweed

Hi Thanks for your attention. Those who love deeply never grow old; they may die of old age, but they die young...Love involves a peculiar unfathomable combination of understanding and misunderstanding.

Good live recording
Your song is well structured and was recording well for being a live performance. I do have trouble understanding some of the lyrics, but the general message is understood. You've got a solid sound and clear experience in performing live. I'm interested in what the studio version sounds like. Keep rocking out my man!

My Dream review
I really enjoyed listening to this one. You came up with a good strong melody for the song. Actually, the melody is much stronger than the lyrics. I'm not saying they are all bad lines... they just need a little bit of rethinking the use of some words. There is such a demand on song lyrics today that you have to put each line under a microscope to make every word in your song the absolute best it can be. It just isn't as simple to write a song anymore as it used to be. But, like I said earlier, you have a really nice melody with this one. Let's hear something new with your writing?

I enjoyed this
This was great. As a songwriter myself I enjoy the stories others tell with their music. This was great. I will be adding this to my favorites for sure. I will also be checking out all of your other songs as well. You, sir, have a new fan.

Joe Cocker meets Southside Johnny in Nashville
The vocals are raspy and bluesy. The backing track is generic countryrockpop. The drums sound like a typical Garageband backing track. The lead guitar is the star of this track. Extra bonus points for the canned "live" audience sounds!

Damn...
You have a wonderful voice!!! I like the flow of the song.. feels like it belongs in an 80's or 90's blockbuster flick, Blends classic rock with that kind of pop-country that everyone, and I mean everyone (myself included) can get into! Great rhythm, and for someone who doesn't enjoy solo guitars normally. I didn't mind that solo.

Grungy Phil Collins!
Great reverb and a strong lead guitar! I love the vocals! It's like a mix of Bob Seger and Phil Collins backed by some solid piano rhythm. The only thing critical I would bring up is that at the beginning, the keys seem to wash out at the break. I'm guessing it may have been a live sound problem or the limitation of an amplifier. Regardless, it's a great tune! Bravo!

Make Dreams Come True
One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song with John sounding a lot like Joe Cocker here. I will admit the fake crowd clapping on the tracks fading in and then out is a bit odd. Passionate performance, well crafted song.

Ambitioned Pop Song
Great music starts off with engaging tunes and this song is remarkable. Grabed me right from the start. I really like the introduction on piano and e-guitar. All the way from stanza to the chorus accompained by chords from an acoustic-guitar which plays the main role in this song. The leading vocal of John A. Saucier dominates this song of pop music inspired track. The lyrics from come from the heart and touching the soul. The beat of powerful drums forcing the the music constantly. This recording unleashes imagination. The piano is exactly there where it should be on a track of this quality. Impressive e-guitar solo influenced by rock music. I´m sure, you will like to add. Let others know your recommendation.

Keep it simple?
Well, it's a pleasant enough structure and has promise I think. But I was disappointed to not be able to clearly hear the words. John seems to have a nice voice, but the clarity was somewhat lacking on this recording. Perhaps it would be better with a simpler arrangement? Or less compression or something? I would like the whole thing to sound much clearer. The guitar parts worked well though I think. Presumably this is not a live recording? (Though it is made to sound like one!). Anyway, good luck with your work.

Happy Tune
Live recordings are difficult to evaluate simply because there so many variables. Overall it's a good live recording although it's a little hard to understand the lyrics and I'm not sure if it's because of the way the vocalist enunciates the words or just the mix. It's a good composition as far as the structure of the song. I like the feeling of the song nice and happy emotion coming through. The recording has too much compression going on but other than that it has good equalization and volume to it.

Review of "My Dream" by Da'NiSh
Firstly - That voice, so Joe Cockeresque with a hint of Tom Waites - Brilliant! Nice tempo and good use of lead guitar breaks. Tight drums and bass guitar, everything you want in a sweet tight track.
