Rockabilly feel and nice basic chord structure lend itself to a fairly well written and catchy tune. One may even say its an infectious little dance number. Sixties style harmonies and melody over a simple guitar hook make the tune enjoyable, but if one may offer a little mixing advice, her ya go. Firstly, as will more songs than not, the vocals need to be more prominent in the mix. they Should not be hidden behind the guitar. The best way for some to achieve this is to mix them with the bass and drums first, then bring the guitar tracks (and keys) up to just behind them, and maybe notch the eq on each to allow the vocals to stand out. Then, if multiple tracking, split the guitar and keys by panning them to either side while leaving the vocals dead center. If not, consider the Ted Templeman method of guitar slightly right, bass left. If looking for a fuller vocal sound one may suggest doubling the vocal, and taking the second track and adding any and all ambient effects to that, and not the whole vocal.

As always, I enjoyed where your melody went on this particular song. The drums come off like a drum track rather than real drums and you may want to try a real one. The rhythm guitar track was a good addition to the song but I would have brought it up a bit more in the mix. I enjoyed the lyrics as well. Once again, I would eliminate the canned applause from the song. As I have said in the past, it is only a distraction to the actual song. Keep on writing!

i like the voice although he could push his vocals with a bit more aggression to lift the song . the mix could be a little sharper bass drum gets lost in the mix, needs to work more with the sound. other wise good efford

The vocals get lost in the mix. I think you need to raise them and work on the sound to make it more distinct. The applause in the beginning sounds like a sample and doesn't give anything good to the track. The guitar work is excellent, especially the solos but always remember, THE VOCALS MAKE THE SONG. Has a real live feel which is good, it just needs to be polished. You can shorten the song as well.

I always love a song that makes me want to get my groove on... Not my everyday music, however... I'm very versatile when it comes to different genres of music. Keeping rocking!!! Good, fun, dancing universal music that can be played anywhere for those who love and respect this category of music. I was actually surprised when I heard the song. It had me jamming from start to finish, putting me in a familiar place like the beach, at the sports bar shooting some pool, or even at the souvenir shop at the zoo. No matter what, the song will have you bopping intended or not. Catchy hook that will also have you singing while dancing along. It's a really fun song.

I´m sure you will be surprised. New recording from the songwriter J.A. Anthony. Very good arranged and played rock-guitars accompaining the song and make him lively. Also the gentle organ-sound in the backing convincing me. The engaging lyrics tells us, that it isn´t easy to be a lover than a fool in love. The songtext is original and comes from the heart. John´s vocals always fits for good rockmusic. This song has a funny message and is more comprehensive than some others. The solos of the e-guitar really stand out. The song is something between Rock and Pop at his best. Could be one of my favorites and I´m sure you will like to add him, too. Let others know your recommendation.
