About John DeBortoli

John is a composer/songwriter/ producer and vocalist/and voice-over actor affiliated with BMI Publishing. 
  John says "In 1986, after the tragic space shuttle loss, I was inspired to write my first copy written song “America’s Challenge” and collaborated with Berkeley Collage of Music professor songwriter Joe Carrier, who is a well-known arranger and composer with many credits in the music industry. I shared “America’s Challenge”  with our past President, Ronald Reagan!" Regan showed his appreciation for this emotional ballad by writing a thank you letter to John directly! 
Since then, John has collaborated with fellow composers,  Joe Carrier and Rick Britto, and Black Lions on numerous songs. John's songs are mostly in the popular genre of music. The well-known music library company, The Harry Fox Agency contracted three of John's songs " What I Feel For You" Never Let Me Go" And "I Want You" recorded by recording artists The Leadgers.  Crucial Music also contracted two different songs of John's / I'm A Boy Watcher" and "Trip Around The World" for debut on the TV reality show "High Society’ in 2009, and TV show” Nurse Jackie” Both songs were written and produced by John and Joe Carrier and sung by a female vocalist, Wendy Drown. Music Supervisor has license four of John’s songs off his 2020 LP. He’s been collaborating with Black Lions Productions and rapper Simeon Coleman
