Thank You All for Being an Important Part of My Music Greeting, My name is Johnny Raven. Thank you ALL ever so much for your time. It has been a FANTASTIC Year of response to the music. We crossed over 2-MILLION plays and views. I know I have said this before, but , I say it again because it is true. I appreciate each and everyone of you. Thank You for being an important part of my music, a very important part. If mot for you all. then who or what are we doing this music for. Anyone can sit in a room or even the studio and play music all day long....but who would it do anything for? It makes a hugh difference to me when I hear from folks . be it good or not so great a news. Not for my ego, but rather a tool to be used toward the next project. So again, THANK YOU, for letting me know and supporting the music. I look forward to hearing from you all in the future ... I have spent approximately forty-five years of my life performing music, either live concert, radio programs, and television guest. Prior to moving into country gospel and southern gospel music, I spent years playing a hugh variety of places, both big and small, concentrating on outlaw and classic country music, such as Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash tribute band, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, as well as the love songs of Jim Reeves, Eddy Arnold, Elvis, Faron Young, Charlie Pride, and Ray P Price. and a few others. I have spent twenty-two years on the road, thru out my life traveling all over this country in the ministry as pastor, evangelist, and a missionary on the Native American Indian Reservations, a singer, songwriter and musician, recording artist, audio engineer, sound-tech, and stage manager. I have had the honor of being called the (Johnny Cash), (Buddy Holley), and even (ELVIS) of gospel music. I've played blues, classic country, oldies-rock and roll, and southern rock, but a huge piece of this pie was in the world of gospel music, as the (" Travelin' Preacher Man"), both in groups , a soloist. and as a recording artist.I have worked on both sides of the business in a number of recording studios, as a sound engineer and behind the microphones as the recording artist. I am now the owner and operator of a recording studio, for both my own works and an occasional project for the public. But rarely has music, gospel or otherwise ever touched me in the way the songs I have included on my last (2) CD's, (Because HE Cares) and (A Made Up Mind). These songs were recorded in a various number of great studios throughout the nation, in order to find the elements I felt needed to be included in each different song, and needed to be engineered by someone behind the controls who understood what I was looking for to be projected from each song. So much of the message in some of these songs could have written about events that have taken place in my life. There were a number of times during the recording sessions as I tried to sing these awesome words that the people in the studio would have to stop and wait as I sat behind the microphones, lost in another place and time. My mind and spirit transported by the truth and powerful message of the lyrics in these songs. The presence of the Spirit of GOD, ever so great at times, I could do nothing but sit and weep uncontrollably.
